IKEA Shop Online, when we talk about IKEA in these terms and conditions we refer to it by using (the pronoun “we”, and its derivatives). When we use (the pronoun “you” and its derivatives), we mean a user shopping from IKEA and buying its products.

In addition to these general terms and conditions, there are other important legal conditions concerning Return policy and Cancellation policy. To agree on these general terms and conditions means your approval and your commitment to the return policy, which are all part of a legally binding contract between us and you. You must read these general terms and conditions and return policy carefully before buying anything from IKEA Shop Online.

We reserve the right to change the general terms and conditions and return policy at any time. Any changes in terms and conditions will apply on all new orders after posting the changes on IKEA Shop Online page. Using our website (even without buying any of our products) means your approval and commitment to these terms and conditions.

We strive to insure the accuracy and validity of all information contained on IKEA website, including product descriptions' and prices contained, at all times. However, errors may occur. We shall try to correct all errors and information on IKEA website ASAP, if we find that this error has any impact on your order we shall try to inform you.

We sell IKEA products and services for IKEA products, through our website www.IKEA.ae or through our stores.

Colors

Colors of products shown on website depend on many factors - including display settings used on the site; products shape and sizes. It may appear different in reality than the screen. We provide dimensions and measurements with the descriptions of products, it is your responsibility to ensure that the actual size of each product fits your purpose.

Photos

Photos on the website are for illustration purposes only, in order to obtain an accurate description of any product and its details you should read the product description listed.

All products

All products depend on its availability in stock, which means inability to meet your order in case of its absence. Products shown for sale are prone to be stopped from sale either online or in stores at any time. It is our responsibility, in such cases, to pay you back any amount you have paid for products you did not receive;

Promotion offers and products

Promotion offers and products on IKEA website may not be all available in stores and vice versa.

Our product prices on our website are the same as those listed in our catalogue and in our stores. Sometimes, you may find a difference in price, when there are different promotions in stores or on our website.

Validity of information

IKEA assumes the validity of information provided by the customer; the customer in return is held responsible for the accuracy of his personal information and data required to complete the purchase. The customer assumes responsibility in case he provides any incorrect information. IKEA United Arab Emirates shall not be responsible if otherwise happens.

Protection:

We shall do our best to have our website free from any viruses, you have to make sure to use the appropriate programs and software for detecting viruses and any other malicious content online on your computer or smart phone.

Available Services

We have the right at any time to modify, stop selling, stop services, sell any of our products, stop online shopping temporarily or permanently, with or without prior notice. In case our service stops after payment, we shall refund you, in accordance with the return policy- refund.

Security

It is your responsibility to ensure confidentiality of your login and password, and all other data related to your account at all time. You agree to notify us as soon as you know about any suspected or presence of any risk to the security to your account.

The eligibility to order and purchase our products

Unless you are 18 years old or older you may not purchase from IKEA United Arab Emirates. The delivery address must be in the United Arab Emirates. You should provide a valid email, a cell phone number that you can be contacted through easily.

Although we sell children’s products, it must be purchased by adults only; All products sold by “IKEA Shop Online” are for personal use only; none of these products are authorized for commercial or industrial use, unless it is explicitly stated.

Order to purchase products

Please check our “IKEA Shop Online” guide for more information about the steps of purchasing our products. Your order represents an offer to purchase products from IKEA. When you order more than one item your order represents a set of offers for each product separately.

Both your act of assigning the webpage, and your personal email, are considered a confirmation for your final order that you have sent to IKEA Shop Online. Please pay attention when placing your order, since you may not be able to modify or add any more products after we send you your confirmation email.
In case you desire to modify your order after you complete your purchase, you may incur additional costs.

Purchase requisition approval contains the product details that you have ordered, the total cost of comprehensive delivery, assembly and order number. You should print a copy of these general terms and conditions, along with the return policy, and cancellation policy then keep them in a safe place. You will need to refer to this data when you contact us with your request.

Acceptance of the purchase order:

Although we hope we can provide all products ordered, we reserve the right, in our estimation, without giving any reasons, not to accept any purchase order at any time (prior to delivery of your order). In case we refuse your order, we shall notify you as soon as possible; with any amount owed.

Payment

you may pay for the products that you purchase in any way contained in the manual through “how to pay online?” Installment is a service offered by the Bank that issued your credit card. Service fees and installment period may vary according to the Bank. We, in IKEA, are not responsible for any installment fees imposed by the Bank.

We shall get the amount to be paid from your card at the time you submit the purchase order. We shall contact you if we run into any trouble collecting the amount of the purchase made. The collection of order value does not mean acceptance of the purchase, in the event of non-acceptance of your order you will be refunded the full amount as soon as possible (and in any event within three working days of the notice of rejecting your order).

We are responsible for the refund to your Bank. The date of refund to your credit card may differ according to your Bank. (It may take from (1) business day to (3) weeks). If you cancel your installment service, IKEA will not be responsible for any assembly fees that may incur from the credited bank. (Please check with your Bank)

All credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.

Any purchase, dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of UAE.

Prices

All prices listed on “IKEA Shop Online” are IKEA prices, unless otherwise stated. Prices listed do not include delivery or assembly fees. Delivery and assembly fees will be added to the total price of your order according to the following paragraph.

The price that you paid for your products is the price of “IKEA Shop Online” when you ordered your purchase; unless these terms and conditions stated otherwise.

In most cases delivery fees that you paid are those provided by “IKEA Shop Online” when you placed your order. Delivery fees will be calculated according to your location, measurements, weight, size, nature and the value of your product. For more information concerning delivery fees please refer to our delivery information.

Product availability

Although we constantly check the accuracy of our stock on “IKEA Shop Online” and its compatibility with the physical inventory in our warehouse, error may occur. If we discover any stock error with any product you ordered, we shall inform you as soon as possible.

Delivery and Assembly T&C for Kitchen, Furniture, Accessories, and Appliance’s 

Please note that IKEA will not be able to complete any delivery and assembly/ installation in the event that the site does not pass the below requirements. 

If unforeseen circumstances on site prevent us from completing your delivery and installation on the scheduled date, IKEA may reschedule the service for a later date subject to our availability. IKEA cannot be held responsible for any losses resulting from this delay.

This agreement outlines the general conditions for smooth delivery, assembly, and installation of your IKEA purchases. These conditions apply to both in-store and online orders placed through our website https://www.ikea.ae.

  • To ensure a smooth delivery and assembly, please request or have a gate pass/work permit ready at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
  • Please ensure that an individual of legal age is at home on the day of the job.
  • Rescheduling your delivery and assembly is possible, preferably 48 hours prior, but it can only be postponed to the next available slot. There will be an additional charge if you need to upgrade to an express service.
  • The products in their original packaging must be able to enter the house (Entrance door size, elevator, passages in the building). IKEA shall not deliver Kitchen, Furniture and appliances using the stairway for safety concerns.
  • Multiple rescheduling requests: To ensure efficient deliveries for everyone, orders will be canceled if there are several rescheduling requests exceeding a total of 14 days.
  • Please remove any obstacles like paintings, cabinets, or hanging objects from the planned delivery route for a smooth process.
  • Please make sure electricity and air conditioning are available and functioning before your delivery date.
  • For safety reasons and stability, IKEA wall cabinets can only be mounted on solid walls made of concrete, bricks, or blocks.
  • Our delivery and assembly service doesn't include mounting decorative items, shelves, mirrors, wall panels, or hooks directly to the wall.
  • Our delivery and assembly service does not include disassembling, moving, modifying, or removing existing furniture or items, whether from IKEA or another brand, at your location.
  • Our Team do not do any plumbing, gas connection or electrical work.
  • For everyone's safety, our delivery and assembly crew will always wear protective footwear throughout the job in the premises.
  • For safety reasons, Furniture products above 70cm shall be mounted on the wall. Please read IKEA “Secure it” campaign.
  • Once you've signed off on the delivered and assembled items, IKEA cannot be held responsible for claims of damage, missing items, or incorrect deliveries.
  • If any IKEA furniture or appliance is to be replaced, the product shall be returned to an IKEA store before a new product can be delivered.
  • Floor Decking Installation:  Our delivery and assembly service doesn't cover floor decking installation.
  • Online orders don't include lighting, curtain and blind installation, but this service can be booked at your local IKEA store.

 

Appliances 

Appliance Installations: Our installation only covers the installation of new IKEA appliances. Existing or non-IKEA appliances are not part of this service.

Non-IKEA Kitchen Deliveries:  If you buy IKEA appliances for a non-IKEA kitchen, we'll deliver them but won't be able to install them.

Electrical Compatibility: Please ensure your electrical outlets match the appliance's amperage and voltage requirements. IKEA is not liable for appliance damage due to electrical incompatibility.

User Manuals and Warranties: For proper care and use of your appliances, please refer to the user manuals and warranty documents included in the packaging.

 

Custom made quartz worktop

  • Variation charges may apply if the final dimensions differ from the drawings on the order form after the Kitchen is installed. Customers are requested to visit the store to pay the variation charges, if any, before the worktop can be fabricated on the revised dimensions.
  • The placement of the worktop joints is at the discretion of the contractor.
  • The customer should make sure that the sink and hob should be available at the time of the worktop measurement.
  • Customers should communicate any change of mind of the customer worktop within 72 hours of completing the purchase in IKEA store before the worktop fabrication begins. Any change of mind on the design, grouting, cutting, or polishing may result in an additional fee for the re-measuring service and may cause further delays with the installation of the worktop. Customers are requested to visit the store to pay the additional charges, if any, before the worktop can be fabricated on the revised design.
  • Worktops that have been ordered, installed, and signed off by customer according to his/her specification cannot be amended, exchanged, returned, refunded, or cancelled at any time unless the items are found to be faulty or of poor quality which will be covered in the guaranty period.
  •  IKEA will not accept any responsibility for any claims of damage to custom-made worktop once the worktop has been delivered, installed, and signed off by customer.
  • For any after-sales modification, customers are requested to visit the store to pay for the modification charges. 

 

Assembly/installation Service for Gazebo 

  • Our Gazebo assembly service secures the structure itself (Gazebo only) but doesn't include anchoring it to the ground. To ensure stability and safety, especially in windy conditions, we recommend making separate arrangements to secure the gazebo to the ground.

SKYTTA furniture:

  • Ensure that the floor, ceiling and walls level is even and have 90 degrees for all angles.
  • In case of any deviation in measurements or materials of walls/floor/ceiling customer should use professional carpenters to get preferred solution for installation (use SKYTTA guideline and buying guide)
  • The customer is responsible for reading warranty document available in respective SKYTTA packaging for proper care instructions.
  •  Make sure that electric outlets, cables, wires etc. do not interfere with the SKYTTA system.
  •  Assembling of SKYTTA should be done according to plan created in planning tool. It is necessary to have plan code or printed version of solution.
  • SKYTTA system bought from AS-IS shall not be installed by IKEA.
  •  Assembling of SKYTTA doors should be done only in case of all materials and measurements fit the requirement for installation (use SKYTTA guideline, buying guide, assembling instruction)
  • Any modification of solution should be done before the installation. Contact IKEA sales specialist for any modifications.

 

AS-IS:

  • The service offered for products purchased from ASIS is delivery service only.
  • Kitchen furniture and appliances bought from AS-IS shall not be delivered or installed by IKEA. 
  • IKEA does not dismantle and reassemble items purchased from ASIS.
  • The product must be able to enter the house.  In case of an apartment, the products must be able to fit in the elevator, hall way, and through the door of the apartment in its original assembled condition. 
  • If the item doesn’t fit in the stairs of a villa, the item will be delivered until the ground floor of the villa.
  • ASIS accessory items e.g. mirrors, picture frames, lights will not be delivered nor installed.
  • ASIS product not able to fit into elevators or doors– customer can return the product to the store subject for approval.
  • If a customer reschedule delivery on the service date and product is on the way for delivery, new service charges shall be incurred. Customers are requested to visit the store to pay the service charges before rescheduling takes place.
  • Items purchased from ASIS cannot be returned or exchanged. 
  • After sales service & guarantee are not applicable for products purchased from ASIS.
  • IKEA will not accept any responsibility for any claims once ASIS items have been delivered and signed off by the customer.

 

ASIS Delivery Fees is subject to Local currency and cost:

  • Delivery within the same store location = AED 100
  • Delivery outside store location = AED 300

Cash On Delivery

You can pay for your Online orders with Cash on Delivery.

  • Cash on Delivery is available on all products sold on www.ikea.ae
  • Cash on Delivery is available for all delivery areas in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Cash on Delivery cannot be used in conjunction with your Debit Card / Credit Card.
  • Payment for Cash on Delivery will only be accepted in the local currency (United Arab Emirates Dirhams), as displayed during checkout.
  • Once your Cash on Delivery order is confirmed, partial cancellation is unfortunately not possible. You can instead choose to cancel your entire order and place a new order.
  • You are requested to keep the exact change available at the time of delivery for the smooth fulfillment of your order.
  • Refunds and Exchanges for all items purchased with Cash on Delivery are issued instore.
  • In case you identify an item missing from your order, you may notify us within a maximum period of 2 days from the date of delivery.
  • An additional fee of Dhs 10 will be applied to your total order value for Cash on Delivery Service.
  • For Cash on Delivery orders partial cancellation will not be accepted for goods or services unless customer is willing to pay full amount. Refund can be collected from any of the IKEA store convenient for the customer only for the goods returned.
  • Cash on Delivery amount should be paid full regardless of aftersales service.

Buy now. Pay later

  • tabby will not be available for the purchase of a Gift Card
  • More than one tabby customer cannot combine their limits to make a single purchase
  • tabby is not available for Business 2 Business (B2B) or corporate customers
  • tabby is not available on IKEA Food purchases
  • tabby cannot be combined with Cash on Delivery payment type

Click & Collect:

Terms:

  • The Click & Collect service is offered free of cost. All you need to pay for are the items you have purchased.
  • Delivery or Delivery & Assembly service will not be available at the time of placing your online order if you have opted for the Click & Collect service.
  • Click & Collect service is only available on online orders that are pre-paid using a credit card at the time of placing your order online.
  • Once you place your Click & Collect order, we will be unable to reschedule it. We recommend that the order be placed keeping this in mind.
  • Once your Click & Collect order is confirmed, partial cancellation is unfortunately not possible. You can instead choose to cancel your entire order and place a new order.

Prior to arriving scheduled pick-up time:

  • You will receive an order confirmation email once you complete your order.
  • You will receive a second email and SMS confirmation once your order has been prepared.
  • You will receive a third email and SMS confirmation once your order is ready for collection and you may collect your Click & Collect order based on the date pre-selected by you while placing your order online.
  • If you are unable to collect your Click & Collect order within 48 hours from the third email and SMS confirmation, we will unfortunately be required to cancel your order as we will not be able to store it beyond the allocated 48 hours. After the cancellation is processed, you will receive an email confirmation on the cancellation, and you will receive the refund in your credit card that was used to place the order as per standard banking lead time.
  • If one or more of your ordered items becomes unavailable, we will notify you by a phone call. You can choose to be refunded the amount of the unavailable item(s), and still pick up the rest of your order when it is ready for collection. Or, you can choose to cancel your entire order for a full refund.

When your order is ready for pickup at the store:

  • Once your order has been prepared and is ready for collection, we will notify you. Kindly refrain from visiting collection point until you receive confirmation that their order is ready for collection.
  • Please bring your proof of ID in the form of a current photo id, driver's license, passport.
  • At the IKEA store, follow signage for Click & Collect to pick-up your order.
  • You will be requested to present the confirmation email or SMS so that we can verify the online Click & Collect order at the time of collection.
  • You can authorize someone else to collect your order. You will have to forward the confirmation email or SMS to your representative, and we’ll take this as an official authorization from you to hand over the order to them. Without the confirmation email or SMS, we won’t be able to release the order.
  • After collection, you may return items from your Click & Collect order at IKEA store. Please refer to IKEA’s Return Policy for more information.

Designs service

  • Our kitchen design service goes beyond just cabinets. Hence, we request you to have a detailed drawing showing the placement and installation of all your chosen kitchen accessories, including spice racks, rails, and shelves on the day of the job for the team.
  • This is also applicable for any other products designed like wardrobes, tv units and any of our storage solution suitable to your living.
  • Design code needs to be saved by the customer for any designs made by customer on the website.

IKEA Refund Card Terms & Conditions

  • Refund Cards can be used online and at IKEA stores in the UAE.
  • Refund Cards are subject to a maximum balance of AED 25,000.
  • To redeem the Refund Card online, the customer must enter the Refund Card number and PIN.
  • Refund Cards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or any other tender.
  • Refund Cards can be used for complete or partial payment and as many times until the balance is zero.
  • Refund Cards can only be loaded once and cannot be topped up.
  • All Refund Cards have a validity period of one (1) year from the date of issuance.
  • Customers can check the remaining balance and validity during online redemption or in-store at checkout or by scanning the QR code on the Refund Card.
  • In-store customers can pay part of the total purchase value by Refund Card and the other part by cash or credit/debit card.
  • Online customers can pay part of the total purchase value by Refund Card and the other part by credit/debit card. Cash on delivery will not be available to purchases where part payment is done with a Refund Card.
  • Refund Cards remains the property of IKEA UAE and may not be tampered or interfered without our consent.
  • As Refund Cards are transferable, IKEA UAE will not be responsible for checking the ownership of the Refund Card before acceptance at the checkout.
  • If the Refund Card is found, please return it to the nearest IKEA store.
  • IKEA is unable to replace the Refund Card if lost or stolen. Misuse of the lost/stolen cards will be the responsibility of the card owner. IKEA UAE will not entertain any claims in this respect.
  • Re-issue of faulty or damaged Refund Cards is not possible unless the Refund Cards are proven to be faulty or damaged because of the production process or otherwise due to the fault of IKEA UAE.
  • Refunds of merchandise purchased with the Refund Card will be in the form of a Refund Card only.
  • IKEA UAE reserves the rights to modify the T&Cs pertaining to Refund Card usage from time to time based on the need to do so.
  • IKEA’s T&Cs for Refund Card usage are binding to all users.

Gift card terms & conditions

  • Physical Gift Card can be bought or loaded with a minimum value of AED 50 and a maximum value of AED 5,000 at the IKEA store in UAE.
  • Digital Gift Card can be bought or loaded with a minimum value of AED 50 and a maximum value of AED 5,000 at the IKEA website or mobile application in UAE.
  • Physical Gift Cards with pin codes can be used for payment in IKEA store, website, or mobile application in UAE.
  • Physical Gift Cards without a pin code can only be used for payment at IKEA store in UAE.
  • Digital Gift Card can be used for payment at the IKEA website, mobile application, or store in UAE.·      Gift Cards bought in UAE cannot be used for payment in any foreign country.
  • Gift Cards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or any other tender.
  • Gift Cards can be used for complete or partial payment and can be used many times until the balance is zero.
  • Gift Card can only be loaded once and cannot be topped up.
  • Customer must enter the Card number and PIN to use both physical and digital gift cards for payment in IKEA website or mobile application.
  • Customers can check the remaining balance and expiry date of physical and digital gift cards at IKEA website, mobile application, or store checkout in UAE.
  • Store customers can pay part of the total purchase value by Gift Card and the other part by cash, credit / debit card.
  • Online customers can pay part of the total purchase value by Gift Card and the other part by credit or debit card. Cash on delivery will not be available to purchases where part payment is done with a Gift Card.
  • Gift Card remains the property of IKEA UAE and may not be tampered or interfered without our consent.
  • As the Gift Card is transferable by possession, IKEA UAE will not be responsible for checking the ownership of the Gift Card before acceptance at the checkout.
  • All Gift Cards have a validity period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
  • If the Gift Card is found, please return it to the nearest IKEA store.

IKEA FAMILY terms and conditions

After ninety days, incomplete profiles will be automatically removed from the system, requiring users to re-register. 

We use your personal data to personalize your experience with IKEA to:

Process your registration details, account activity and purchase history to analyze how you shop and what you shop for. In other cases (for example, measuring the effectiveness of our marketing), we will rely on our legitimate interests as a business to communicate with our IKEA FAMILY members in an engaging and efficient way. Where we rely on our legitimate interests, we will always make sure that we balance these interests against your rights.
