Product details

25 year guarantee. Read about the terms in the guarantee brochure.

LOCKEBO custom-made worktops are made from a glass composite with at least 80% recycled content.

The worktop is custom-made for your kitchen solution. Select the appropriate depth and length.

Glass worktops have a hard, smooth and non-porous surface that is resistant to stains and moisture, making them easy to clean.

The non-porous surface does not require any sealing treatment.

You can order the exact length and depth you need for your kitchen island or bar solution as well as cut-outs for your sink, tap and hob.

Choose from different edges to get a more personalised expression in your kitchen.

You can order an under-glued sink with your custom-made worktop.

Create a perfectly coordinated look by combining this worktop with a matching wall panel.

Good to know

Additional charges will apply for services and customisation options. Book an appointment with an IKEA store to plan your worktop and receive complete price information.

Even though glass is a durable material you should never place hot pots or pans directly on the worktop without a trivet or pot stand.

Please note that the actual colours of our products may vary slightly from the colours shown online.

Keep in mind that the images you see here only show parts of a whole slab.

For glass composite worktops, natural colour/pattern variations may occur when placing 2 or more slabs side-by-side.

Not suitable for outdoor use.

Materials & care

Material

Glass composite (min. 80% recycled glass)

Care

Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild washing-up detergent or soap, if necessary.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Do not place a toaster, coffee maker, kettle or other kitchen appliances that emit heat directly over a seam between two worktops because the heat can damage the seam.

Always use a chopping board, never cut directly on the worktop with a knife. Never pull an object with rough or ragged edges across the worktop as it can scratch the surface.

Safety & compliance

Supporting legs for stone material are required when an overhang exceeds 30 cm. The maximum distance between these legs should not be more than 80 cm.

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

Quality/durability

Built and tested to last

We believe that our kitchen worktops should meet your highest demands when it comes to design and performance, without compromise. That’s why we test our worktops, and put them up against the everyday challenges they’ll face in your kitchen: liquids, oil, food, steam, heat, bumps and scratches. When they’ve passed our testing, we know they’ll last, and we guarantee it for 25 years.
