Decorative, painted glass jar that blocks sunlight to protect what you store – perfect for tea, coffee, spices and most other dry goods.

The silicone gasket makes the lid airtight, keeping air and moisture out – ideal for long-term storage to keep food fresh and preserve flavours and aromas.

The bamboo lid withstands both cold and moisture without becoming brittle or cracking – so the jar can also be stored in the fridge.

  • The lid has a silicone gasket that makes the container airtight, but it's not leakproof since the lid lacks a locking mechanism, so the container shouldn't be stored upside down.

    The material in this product may be recyclable. Please check the recycling rules in your community and if recycling facilities exist in your area.

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
