IKEA Buyback
You cannot return products if they are dirty, stained, damaged or altered. However, if the product is still in good condition, you can always sell it back to us.
- The furniture must be part of the range of items we buy back.
- We assess the product before buying it back.
Good to know when exchanging, returning, and refunding
- Bring your receipt with you.
- We refund using the same payment method that was used to purchase the product.
- Can't find the receipt? As an IKEA FAMILY member, you have all your IKEA receipts stored digitally in your profile
- If your new product is faulty or missing, you can submit a claim to IKEA.
- As we are keen to make our products last longer, we also offer spare parts at no extra cost. IKEA Family members are covered by Oops insurance. It helps protect against any accidental damage during transport or assembly.
- If you want to return goods by post, create your return on "My page". We can also collect larger items from you. Just contact us. You cover the return shipping yourself, and we will reimburse you when we have received your goods. It is not possible to return goods at IKEA pick-up points or at Bring's pick-up locations
- For exchanges and returns, the goods need to be unused and free of any damage or marks.
- When you order by phone, through the IKEA app or on IKEA.no, you always have a 14-day right of cancellation. The time is calculated from the day you received the item. Within these 14 days, you will get a full refund, even if the product has been assembled.
IKEA's comfort guarantee on mattresses
When you buy a mattress from us, you can try it for 90 nights to see if you like it. If you've slept on it for a while and find it too soft or too firm, you can return or exchange it.
How to change a mattress
Take the mattress and receipt to any IKEA store and we'll help you find another one. If you would like to have the mattress delivered to us, we will help you book a reliable carrier.
Good to know when changing the mattress
- You can change the mattress once within 90 nights.
- The only condition is that it cannot be dirty or have marks or damage.
- The exchange right does not apply to bed slats or mattress protectors.
- Please note that initially your new mattress can seem a bit too firm. Allow at least one month for your body to get used to the mattress and for the mattress to get used to your body.
- To get the best comfort you also need the right pillow. Make sure you have a pillow that suits you and your new mattress.
- Once you've found the perfect mattress, it's covered by our 10-year mattress warranty.
- If you would like to upgrade your mattress, you only pay the difference between the old and the new price.
- If the new one costs less than the old one, we transfer the price difference to an IKEA refund card.
