Where should I place the driver for my IKEA Home smart products?
Place the driver somewhere you can easily reach it. You may need to pair the driver and remote control again later.
When installing IKEA Home smart products, place the driver somewhere that is easy to access.
The driver makes it possible to control the connected lights with a remote control or the IKEA Home smart app. You may need to pair the remote control and driver again. Therefore, it is practical to place the driver where you can reach it without removing other parts of the interior.
You can, for example, place the driver:
- inside a wall cabinet frame
- in a drawer
- on top of a cabinet frame, if it is easy to access
Avoid placing the driver on top of the cabinet frame if you have a ceiling cover panel. This can make it difficult to reach the driver if you need to pair it again.
