How close to DIRIGERA hub and my Wi-Fi router do the smart products need to be placed to connect?

The DIRIGERA hub must be placed indoors, close to your Wi-Fi router, since they are connected with a network cable. The hub cannot be placed outdoors.

To get started with a smart home, you need to get the DIRIGERA hub and download the IKEA Home smart app.

The smart home from IKEA is designed to be easy to set up and use. After purchasing a smart product like LED bulbs, air purifiers, speakers or blinds, follow the assembly instructions of the smart product and let the IKEA Home smart app guide you step-by-step.

Already purchased smart products from IKEA can be connected to DIRIGERA hub and managed in the IKEA Home smart app.

It is not neccessary to change from TRÅDFRI gateway to DIRIGERA hub, the gateway and the app will still be supported.

Making your home a bit smarter also makes everyday life a bit easier. Read more about IKEA Home smart here:
