Can DIRIGERA hub be repaired and/or recycled?

No. Since your smart home set-up with TRÅDFRI gateway is stored locally only, and since the app connected to DIRIGERA hub comes with new digital features, you will need to re-create scenes after pairing your smart products.

The DIRIGERA hub must be placed indoors, close to your Wi-Fi router, since they are connected with a network cable. The hub cannot be placed outdoors.

It is not neccessary to change from TRÅDFRI gateway to DIRIGERA hub, the gateway and the app will still be supported.

The DIRIGERA hub comes with a new and improved app, as well as new digital features like "Control Everywhere," which allows you to connect to your smart home from anywhere in the world. It also has increased memory capacity, so you can connect more smart products than before, for a faster and better experience. With the DIRIGERA hub, you have everything you need for tomorrow's smart products.

A network standard like Matter enables smart products to talk to each other. It will allow you to add and interact with any other smart product following the Matter standard.

Already purchased smart products from IKEA can be connected to DIRIGERA hub and managed in the IKEA Home smart app.
