Milan Design Week is finally here!
We’re celebrating Democratic Design with an exhibition that shows how small, thoughtful decisions create ripple effects. You’ll see sustainability through our ‘Do something. Change everything.’ initiative; peek at vintage products curated by the IKEA Museum; explore life-at-home insights and see the exciting new STOCKHOLM 2025 collection.
We invite you to explore in your own way, by viewing the collection, hanging out in the listening room, vibing to soulful jazz with the house band, dancing to the tunes our DJs will spin on the turntable or taking part in a workshop to craft something yourself.
Of course, there’s food! Swedish smörgås. Delicious ice cream. And plenty of drinks – from affogato to Aperol. It’s free, and everyone’s invited. You don’t need to be a design professional to attend.
We’re live at Milan Design Week! You can find us at Via Vigevano 18 now through 13 April.
We can’t wait to see you!

Do something. Change everything.
We close the gap between what we do for a more sustainable planet and what people think we do. This exhibit lifts the veil on some of the actions IKEA has taken to be more sustainable. It shows how even the smallest choices can make a difference to shape a better future.

Life at home
Findings from the IKEA Life at Home Report are translated into an interactive exhibit. Three themes that spark joy at home—food, nature and play—come to life through spaces that invite you to pause, reflect, and be playful.

STOCKHOLM 2025
STOCKHOLM is coming back! The new STOCKHOLM 2025 collection offers exceptional quality and timeless design at an affordable price. We invite you to explore this collection, imagining a world where everyone has access to beautiful design at a price tag within reach.

A curated collection from IKEA Museum
Journey back through time with a vintage collection of STOCKHOLM products. STOCKHOLM collections have a 40-year legacy dating back to 1985. The IKEA Museum has curated pieces showing the evolving, yet timeless, beauty of the designs.

House band
Who doesn’t love a house band? We absolutely do. So, this year, we’ve invited Vars Lon Trio. They’ll bring a cosy, soulful vibe that’s part jazz, part improvised with whatever they feel in the moment.

Listening room
Inside the STOCKHOLM 2025 exhibition, you can grab a seat, gather round the artist and sway to some tunes. Our listening room is informal, relaxed and invites you to feel like you’re at home.

Talks and workshops
Design doesn’t happen by thought alone. It’s moving from an idea to hands-on creation. We’ll have talks with IKEA designers about the new STOCKHOLM collection and fun interactive workshops that give you the chance to design and build something of your own.

Glitch Camp
Democracy is at the heart of what we do. That's why—yet again—we’re proud to support the Glitch Camp project by IED (Istituto Europeo di Design). It’s a free urban camp where we welcome students from all over the world with a campsite, showers, and design activities during the Milan Design Week.

Gift shop
Shop for your first gems from the new STOCKHOLM 2025. The gift shop is where you can grab beautiful designs at an affordable price.

Swedish food
We celebrate our Scandinavian roots with food at the heart. This year, you can tuck into a smörgås sensation. Smörgås are colourful open-faced sandwiches that we’ll top with seafood, veggies, or plant-rich options.
FAQ
At IKEA, we’re all about creating a better future for people and planet. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and our events should reflect that too! That’s why we’re taking several actions at Milan Design Week.
We’re eliminating all single-use plastics from our food and drinks offer. Instead, we’re using biodegradable, compostable and recyclable packaging.
We’re serving up a plant-rich menu that includes a mix of vegetarian options and ASC-MSC certified fish and seafood from our range, prepared locally at the IKEA Corsico Store, reducing impact. Plus, our coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified.
Besides our own range, we’re working with trusted suppliers.
Our menu has been designed to reduce food waste. And, in case of any leftovers, we’re partnering with Too Good to Go Italy.
We’re doing everything we can to reduce waste across the entire event.
You’ll find recycling points throughout the venue, and we have a plan in place to make sure all waste is properly sorted and sent to the right facilities.
Once the event wraps up, we’ll be donating furniture, materials and products to local community groups—to keep good things going.
Everyone is welcome to the event, and we believe all our co-workers, visitors, suppliers, partners and artists should feel at home.
The event is inclusive and diverse. Our programme has been curated to reflect the cultural diversity of Milan by collaborating with local creatives and social entrepreneurs.
As part of Glitch Camp, we’re collaborating with IED to make Milan Design Week more accessible to young people from around the world. Like last year, we provide a free camping area, along with furnishing shared spaces where students can hang out.
