What personal information we collect when you apply for a job at Inter IKEA Group
When you apply for a job at Inter IKEA Group we ask you to fill in an application form and create a profile. In the application form we ask you for your personal information, including your name, e-mail address, phone number, place of residence, experience, education and résumé.
We also offer you the opportunity to provide supplementary information and attachments. And we offer you the opportunity to connect your application to your social media accounts (such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter). Providing this supplementary information is entirely voluntary. Whether you provide this information or not, will not affect your application process in any way.
Interviews, online assessments, reference checks and review of information in your social media accounts may be part of the application process. If required by law, we will perform background checks. Where this is the case we will inform you about this in advance.
We use your personal information to evaluate and follow-up on your application. We base our processing of this data on the legal basis of performance of a contract (i.e. in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into an employment contract). For background checks we base our processing of your data on the legal ground necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
How we strive for diversity, gender equality and inclusion
At IKEA we respect each other regardless of position, gender, and background. Diversity, equality, and inclusion in our teams increases our understanding of our customers and each other. To help us measure how successful we were in reaching a diverse group of candidates in our recruitment process, we (Inter IKEA) would appreciate it if you shared your gender, nationality, and year of birth, and we ask for your consent to process this data. You can choose to withdraw this consent at any time.
This data will not be visible to the recruitment team and your decision to answer will not impact your application in any way. We appreciate your voluntary cooperation.
Our talent bank
If we intend to process your personal information for other purposes than the purpose for which the data was originally collected, we will notify you of such processing before we initiate it and if necessary, request your consent. For example, we may ask for your consent to add you to our Inter IKEA Group “talent bank”, so we can contact you about other existing or future job opportunities within the Inter IKEA Group. We base our processing of this data on the legal basis of legitimate interest.
What personal information we collect when you apply to work with us as a supplier

We will keep your personal information no longer than necessary for the purpose for which we process your data. We may store your information longer than stated above if it is necessary to fulfil legal obligations, or to protect our legal rights, for example in a legal dispute.
As a rule we keep your job profile until you remove your job profile. We keep your job application and any information you provided in connection to your application for a period of one year after you have been rejected a job, unless local laws require a longer retention period.
If you consent to further processing of the personal information for the purposes of being a part of our talent bank, we will retain your personal information as long as you wish to remain in our talent bank.
