Using IKEA Bahrain’s Website
The following terms and conditions (the “T&C”) are specific to using IKEA Bahrain’s Website (our “Site”) and shopping online at IKEA Bahrain (“IKEA Bahrain” “we” “us”).
Please read the T&C carefully. When you use this Site, you are automatically agreeing that your access to the Site and your use of it are subject to these T&C, any amendments thereto, and to IKEA Bahrain’s policies applicable in this connection. Your access to the Site and use of the same are undertaken at your own risk.
IKEA Bahrain is a trading name of Ghassan Ahmad Al Sulaiman Furniture Trading Company W.L.L, a company registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain under registration number 73368. Our registered office address is Offices 21, Building 156, Road 100, Block 712, Salmabad, P.O. Box 11213, Kingdom of Bahrain. Our VAT number is 200000196200002.
We may amend the T&C from time to time without notice. Please re-read the T&C and check back often to ensure that you are at all times fully aware of the T&C. Your continued use of the Site means you agree to all of the T&C and its amendments. If you do not agree to any change to the T&C then you must immediately stop using the Site. Any changes made after you have placed an Order will not affect that Order unless we are required to make the change by law.
No commercial use
This Site is for your personal non-commercial use.
Products purchased are for personal or gift use only and should not be resold, used for commercial purposes or any other commercial benefit.
Information
In order to make purchases on the Site you will be required to provide your personal details. In particular, you must provide your real name, cell phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, you will be required to provide payment details that you represent and warrant are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the billing information provided. The delivery address must be in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
By making an offer to purchase products you expressly authorize us to perform credit checks, to process your personal data, and where IKEA Bahrain feels necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including updated information) about you to or from third parties, including but not limited to your credit/ debit card number or credit reports to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit/ debit card, to obtain an initial credit/ debit card authorization and to authorize individual purchase transactions.
We are committed to handling and process your personal information with high standards of information security and to taking appropriate steps to maintain the security and accuracy of personally identifiable information we collect. However, we shall not be responsible for any unauthorized access.
By using and accessing the Site, you acknowledge and accept that IKEA Bahrain will collect, process, and retain your personal information which is being collected for the purpose of using and accessing the Site and for completing the purchase transaction from IKEA Bahrain.
Orders
“Order” means your request submitted to and approved by IKEA Bahrain, which is made in accordance with the T&C herein, and contains the products and / or the services selected, by way of example and without limitation, assembly service, delivery service, etc.
We try our best to make sure that all details on our Site are accurate at all times, including the description and the pricing of products. IKEA Bahrain does not promise that the functional aspects of the Site or the content will be error free or that the Site is error free.
We shall be under no obligation to accept or fulfil an Order for a product that was advertised at an incorrect price and reserve the right to cancel such an Order that has been accepted or is in transit. If you Order a product that is priced incorrectly for any reason, we will let you know as soon as practicable by e-mail or telephone that we have not accepted your Order and/or that the relevant part of your Order has been cancelled. If you have already paid for the goods, we shall refund the full amount as soon as we are able. In the event that the products are recalled in transit or delivered to the customer, we will process your refund once the products have been returned to us.
Colours
When browsing our Site, photos and images on our Site are for illustrative purposes only. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on the Site. However, as computer monitors/ screens vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor or screen display of any colour will be completely accurate. For a more accurate description of a product colour or other details, please read the product description.
Availability
All Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Products in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.
We try our best to offer products for sale that are in stock and available. Occasionally, however, we may be waiting for shipments from our supplier or we may not receive shipments and we may be unable to supply your partial or complete Order.
Security System
We take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to make our Site secure and to help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure. All credit/debit card transactions on this Site are processed using a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. In the absence of gross negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.
IKEA Bahrain does not promise that the Site or server that makes it available is free from viruses or other harmful components.
Internet websites or e-mails may be susceptible to data corruption, interception and unauthorised amendment over which we have no control. Whilst sweeping all outgoing email for viruses, we do not accept liability for the presence of any computer viruses in any e-mail or any losses caused as a result of viruses or other malicious content.
Eligibility to Order
The Site is available only to individuals who are 18 years or older and others who meet the legal requirements of eligibility, who have been issued with a valid credit/ debit card by a bank acceptable to IKEA Bahrain, who applications are acceptable to IKEA Bahrain and who have authorized IKEA Bahrain to process a charge or charged on their credit/ debit card in the amount of the total purchase price for the merchandise which they purchase. Unless you are 18 years old or older you may not purchase from IKEA Bahrain.
Placing your Order
Once you have made your choice and your Order has been placed, you will receive an Order Acknowledgment e-mail acknowledging the details of your Order, including the total cost, VAT and an Order reference number. This e-mail is NOT an acceptance of your Order, just a confirmation that we have received it. Unless you cancel your Order, acceptance of your Order and formation of the contract between you and IKEA Bahrain will be completed when we e-mail you to confirm the goods have been dispatched. Until the products have been dispatched, no contract will be formed between us.
Acceptance of your Order
We reserve the right not to accept any Order from anyone who has breached the T&C. Also, in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorization for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out in the T&C. We may also refuse to process and accept a transaction for any reason or refuse services to anyone at any time at our sole discretion without the need to give reasons. If we do not accept your Order, we will let you know as soon as practicable. We will not be liable to you or to any third party by reason of our withdrawing a merchandise from the Site whether or not that merchandise has been sold, removing, screening or editing any materials or content on the Site, refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after the process has begun.
Payment
We accept the major credit/ debit cards and other methods as may be clearly advertised on the Site from time to time.
You confirm that the credit/ debit card being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorized by the owner of the credit/ debit card to use it. All credit/ debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to IKEA Bahrain, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
We will take payment from your card at the time you place your Order. Taking payment does not mean we have accepted your Order. If for any reason we are unable to accept the Order we will provide you with a refund within forty five (45) working days from the date the refund is processed from our side unless a longer period is required by the bank.
Pricing
Unless otherwise stated, all prices shown on the Site are in BHD and are inclusive of VAT at the appropriate rate. All prices remain valid as advertised from time to time and the price of a product displayed on the Site at the time the Order is accepted will be honoured, except in cases of error. The prices shown on the Site do not include the delivery fee or any other service fee, which will be added to your total Order price.
Special Promotions
Not all special promotions or sales that are offered by the Site will be available in-store and vice versa. We reserve the right to adjust prices on items, products and special offers at our sole discretion.
DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY
Delivery time and date
For delivery Orders you will be given the option to select a delivery date when placing your Order.
Please note that the delivery date chosen will be an estimate, and is not a guaranteed delivery date for your Order. If we are not able to the meet the delivery date you have selected while placing your Order, we will contact you to rearrange the delivery on the nearest available delivery slot upon your consent. If the suggested date is not suitable to you, we have the right to cancel your Order and process the refund. If for any reason we are unable to get in touch with you using the contact details you have provided we reserve the right to cancel your order.
For click & collect
ordersIf you did not collect your order within 2 days of the agreed collection date, IKEA reserves the right to cancel you order excluding service fees.
Changing the date of delivery
If you would like to change the delivery date of your Order, please contact IKEA Bahrain Customer Service at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or before the Order is dispatched to you. You can request to change the date of a scheduled delivery twice only. The new delivery date can be selected up to two (2) calendar days from the original date of delivery, or by the nearest delivery slot. Your delivery cannot be expedited to any day prior to the scheduled delivery date. IKEA Bahrain reserve its right to cancel your Order if the available date of delivery is not suitable for you or if we are unable to agree on the date of delivery.
Events Beyond our Reasonable Control
In the event that we are delayed or unable to deliver any Order on the scheduled date and time for delivery due to any circumstances outside of our reasonable control (whether they are foreseen or unforeseen and whether they apply generally or specifically to IKEA Bahrain), including but not limited to any traffic accident by our vehicle or other problem with our vehicle, illness of our driver, road block, traffic-jam, adverse weather, etc., we shall do our best to contact you and, if appropriate, to reschedule a new date and time for the delivery of your Order. IKEA Bahrain shall not be held liable for any damage or loss sustained as a result of any delivery delay or failure to deliver the Order products under such circumstances.
Delivery Restrictions
IKEA does not deliver any perishable products, including plants.
Some of our furniture pieces are bigger than you might expect after assembly or might be bigger than you expect generally, especially sofas. Please check products’ measurements carefully before you purchase to make sure there is adequate space in the designated place for it and that the item after assembly will fit the place chosen for it.
Before the delivery, please ensure that there is sufficient access and space and that any staircases and lifts providing access are suitable for the delivery. Please move fragile objects which could be damaged during the delivery, such as lights, vases, and pictures.
Our delivery team will exercise reasonable care and skill in delivering the products.
We reserve the right not to accept any delivery to your address or location if it is deemed unsafe or impractical for us to do so at our sole discretion. If our delivery team consider that delivery to the location of your choice is likely to cause damage to the products or to the property, they will let you know and record the concern on a delivery document. You can still accept the delivery, but we will not be liable for any damage caused to the products or the property.
Our delivery team are not permitted to and will not remove doors, windows, doorframes etc. to complete the delivery. You must arrange this before the delivery takes place. Our delivery team do not carry any specialized lifting equipment and will not unpack or remove any packaging. Our delivery team will not remove their footwear whilst making deliveries. If you are concerned about possible damage to flooring, please make sure you cover the flooring with protective sheets.
Important information
When you arrange your delivery, we will ask you to provide certain information. This information will be recorded on the delivery document and the delivery will take place at the delivery address you specify. If you provide us with incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information or instructions, we may cancel the delivery.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are available to accept delivery. Our delivery team are not permitted to leave any products that have not been signed for.
On delivery, you will be asked to examine the products, check its condition and whether the correct number of packages have been delivered and be asked to sign the delivery document confirming this. If there are any issues, you should record this on the delivery document. Missing products will be re-ordered and damaged/incorrect products will be returned and replaced and delivered free of charge. This will not affect your legal right to notify us within a reasonable time at a later date if you find a concealed or hidden defect in your products. If you refuse to sign the delivery document, this will be taken as refusal to accept delivery and we have the right the take back the delivered items and refund you only for the product amount excluding the delivery charges subject to condition of item as per IKEA Bahrain’s Return Policy.
Damaged and Faulty Products
If your product is faulty when you receive it, please notify the courier driver immediately. If defects or damage are discovered after delivery, you must notify immediately IKEA Bahrain Customer Service and in any event no later than within two (2) calendar days of receiving the products.
Please keep any damaged product as is, so that we can inspect it. If you dispose of any damaged product before we have had the opportunity to inspect it, then we will not be able to replace or refund for the product.
Refunds processed in accordance with our refund policy will be for the full amount you have paid for the product(s) excluding delivery charges. If the all the product(s) in an Order are damaged, we will refund you the full amount you have paid for the Order including delivery service charges.
Assembly Service
When you choose the option of delivery and assembly, the system will calculate the assembly fees of each product. The products that do not require assembly will be referred to clearly, and the system will not allow you to have the choice of assembly for it. IKEA applies minimum assembly fees, which may vary from one region/city to another. If assembly fees for certain product are higher than the minimum assembly fees defined, then the total assembly fees will be taken into consideration.
If any product is cancelled due to unavailability in stock or due to your request all assembly fees will be refunded.
In some cases, cancelling all products that require assembly will change the Order of the delivery, which will result in changing the delivery date chosen before.
Returns and Cancellation
Please review IKEA Bahrain’s relevant Return Policy and Refund Policy.
Right to Return or Exchange
Should you are unsatisfied by the product ordered, you may return or exchange the products within 365 calendar days from the date of delivery. Note that delivery fees are not refundable once the Order has been dispatched.
Refund will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
Returned or exchanged products must be in their original packaging, unused, with all parts, accessories and manuals, and be in original condition, receipt and with all IKEA Bahrain price tags still attached, all that in accordance with IKEA Bahrain Return Policy.
To facilitate the return or exchange of the products under the T&C herein, please contact IKEA Bahrain Customer Service. You must comply with the directions of IKEA Bahrain Customer Service.
We shall withhold reimbursement until we have received the products back or you have supplied evidence of having sent the products back, whichever is the earliest. If we do not receive the products back, we may arrange to have them collected from you at your cost.
The costs of returning the products to IKEA Bahrain shall be borne by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that returned products are returned safely. IKEA Bahrain takes no responsibility for products lost in transit or any damages to the products suffered in such connection.
We reserve our right not to accept any returned products or reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the product as per IKEA Bahrain Return Policy.
Right to Cancel
You may cancel your Order at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time or before the Order is dispatched to you. To exercise such right, you must notify us by contacting IKEA Bahrain Customer Service to cancel your Order.
If you cancel your Order in full at least 24 hours before the products delivery time or before the Order is dispatched, you are entitled to a full refund i.e. the purchase price, and service(s) fee. However, if you cancel your Order within 24 hours or less of the delivery date or after the Order is dispatched to you, the service(s) fees and delivery fees will be deducted from your total refund.
Intellectual Property
"Intellectual Property" means all rights in patent, copyright, trade names, trademarks, logos, designs, images (including still images, and audio and audio-visual media).
You acknowledge that all Intellectual Property in any content of the Site is the property of IKEA Bahrain, which includes any information (including but not limited to data, source codes, and drawings) or images in any form (whether visible or not) stored on or in use with the Site (the “Material”). Unless expressly authorized under this T&C or otherwise, you may not reproduce adapt, amend, display, perform or distribute any Material or any part of any Material. These intellectual property rights are protected by Bahraini and international laws and treaties nothing herein gives you a right to use any of them.
Your use of the Site and its contents grants no rights to you in relation to any copyright, designs, and trademarks and all other intellectual property and material rights relating to the Materials.
You may view the Site and its contents for personal and non-commercial use only, you may not in any form or by any means reproduce, modify, distribute, store, transmit, publish or display within another Site or create derivative works from any part of the Site or commercialize any information obtained from any part of the Site without the prior written consent of IKEA Bahrain.
You may not modify or copy the layout or appearance of the Site nor any computer software or code contained in the Site, nor may you decompile or disassemble, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to discover or access any of source codes related to the Site.
Limits on our Liability
We accept liability for death and personal injury arising from our breach or gross negligence. We, IKEA Bahrain (our officers, directors, agents, affiliates, licensors and suppliers) are not responsible, under any circumstances, before you or any third party for any loss or damages, of whatsoever nature, sustained as a result of using the Site or not being able to use the Site; or for failure to meet any of our obligations under the T&C and we are not responsible for any losses not caused by our breach or gross negligence, indirect losses, by way of example and without limitation, such as loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity or business interruption. In any event, we will only be liable for loss or damage up to 100% of the total value of goods purchased.
You agree to defend us and hold us IKEA Bahrain (our officers, directors, agents, affiliates, licensors and suppliers) harmless from and against all liabilities, claims, expenses, damages and losses, including legal fees, for example and not limited to, arising from or in connection with the usage of the Site or not being able to use the Site; or any breach of the T&C by you, including the use by any other persons accessing this Site using your Internet account caused by your action or inaction.
Complaints and governing law

The T&C together with all the policies and procedures applicable within IKEA Bahrain, will be governed by and construed in accordance to the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the relevant courts of Bahrain will have exclusive jurisdiction.
