Create a complete Scandinavian-styled room for your baby with the ÄLSKVÄRD series. Your child sleeps for more years in this cot since you can lower the bottom and replace one long side with a guard rail.

Product details

If you want to create a complete children's room in the same style, you can combine the cot with the ÄLSKVÄRD changing table – they match each other perfectly.

One cot side can be removed when the child is big enough to climb into/out of the cot.

The cot base can be lowered when your child starts to sit up on their own.

Your child can sleep safely even after removing one cot side since a guard rail is included.

The first time with a new family member can be a little nerve-racking, but also absolutely wonderful. New progress awaits every day – from the first smile to joyful babble. We have developed the ÄLSKVÄRD family – bassinet, cot and changing table – to help make this new everyday life feel safe, convenient and flexible.

“All children are of course different,” says Sarah Fager, who has designed the ÄLSKVÄRD family. “But one thing most new parents have in common is that they want to get the hang of the sleeping routines. Because a rested baby means a happy baby – and rested parents.”

A safe and cosy sleeping place

And is there anything more soothing than watching a sleeping baby – with totally relaxed body and calm breaths? The ÄLSKVÄRD bassinet is lined with a see-through fabric, allowing you to peek at your little wonder from your own bed. The woven fabric lets air circulate, creating an airy and comfortable sleeping place for the baby." “Since the bassinet has wheels, you can easily roll it between the rooms, depending on where the baby sleeps best at the moment. Just lock the wheels, and the bassinet will stand steady and safe when you lay down your baby for rest.”

Round and soft design for delicate children

When your child can sit up, kneel or pull itself up, it’s time for the ÄLSKVÄRD cot. Like the bassinet and the changing table, it’s made of light bentwood and has soft, rounded shapes. “As a new parent, you may be sensitive to things that feel hard and sharp and want to surround your baby with soft and embracing shapes,” says Sarah. “The light wood also gives ÄLSKVÄRD a Scandinavian feel that’s timeless, perfect if you want the durable furniture to be inherited by siblings and friends.”
