Right of Withdrawal

The following right of withdrawal applies exclusively to the online purchase of IKEA Gift Cards by consumers as defined in § 1 KSchG.

Right of Withdrawal:

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen (14) days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you takes possession of the card (physical gift card) or receives the digital gift card (by email).

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (IKEA Möbelvertrieb OHG, Südring, 2334 Vösendorf; IKEA Customer Service Contact: Tel.: 0800/081 100, Email: [email protected]) by means of a clear declaration (e.g., a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form (see below), although this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send the notification regarding the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, IKEA must refund all payments received from you without delay and no later than fourteen (14) days from the day on which the withdrawal notice is received by IKEA. For this refund, IKEA will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; under no circumstances will IKEA charge fees for this refund.

If you have already (partially) redeemed the gift card before the withdrawal period expires, you must compensate IKEA for the value used. This means that any amount already redeemed up to the time at which you notify us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal will not be refunded.

IKEA may withhold the refund until IKEA has received the gift card back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the gift card—whichever occurs first.

You must return or hand over the gift card without delay, and in any event no later than fourteen (14) days after informing us of your withdrawal, to any IKEA store in Austria. The deadline is met if you send the gift card before the fourteen (14) days expire. You bear the direct cost of returning the gift card.
