Family services at the IKEA store

Visit your local IKEA store and look forward to:

  • Comfort guaranteed with extra-wide family parking spaces near the entrance, with plenty of room for pushchairs, bags and more.
  • A family-friendly furniture showroom that young and old can explore together.
  • Eat, drink and relax in the IKEA restaurant, which offers children’s menus and other services.
  • Free baby food (available on request at the restaurant cashier).
  • Play areas for playing and running about throughout the store – located where children might otherwise get bored – for example, in the kitchen or wardrobe planning areas.
  • Breastfeeding and nappy changing without distractions: dedicated nappy-changing rooms by the entrance and near the restaurant, breastfeeding facilities, children’s toilets and free nappies (on request).
  • Småland: a supervised, safe and cheerful play area for children aged 3 to 9, whilst you shop in peace.
  • Great and varied events for children and adults.
  • Shopping trolleys and pushchairs, suitable for everyday family life – including a practical hook for the yellow FRAKTA bag.

Småland

Let your children explore the Småland Children's Paradise whilst you browse the IKEA store

How it works:

  • Age: All children aged between 3 and 9 are welcome.
  • Accompanying adults: Parents or accompanying adults must be of legal age and bring valid ID (passport or national ID card).
  • Proof of age: A passport, national ID card or health insurance card is sufficient to confirm your child’s age.
  • IKEA stores: Every IKEA store has a Småland (except IKEA Vienna Westbahnhof and planning studios).
  • Opening hours: These may vary depending on the store. You can find the current Småland opening hours on your local IKEA store’s website.

Good to know:

  • Whilst your child is playing in Småland, you can relax and do some shopping or enjoy a break in the IKEA restaurant.
  • You are not permitted to leave the store whilst your child is in Småland.
  • Childcare is free of charge.
  • The maximum childcare time is usually one hour (this may vary depending on the store).
