IKEA expands the recall of IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press, black, in Austria

IKEA asks all customers who own the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL black garlic press, black, to stop using it and contact IKEA. The affected product has the article number 201.521.58.

Why is this product not safe to use?

Due to a production error, identified after an internal investigation, indicating a risk of small metal pieces detaching during use and subsequently being ingested with the food, IKEA is recalling the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press, black, from date stamp 2411(YYWW) until 2522 (YYWW). Affected products can be identified by a marking of the IKEA logo on the upper handle of the product that looks like shown:

If customers still cannot identify it, they can return any IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, and get a refund.

What should customers do?

Customers who own an affected garlic press should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, lent or sold to someone else.

What remedy can customers expect?

IKEA recalls certain date stamp of IKEA 365+ HJÄLTE stirring spatula due to non-compliant migration test

IKEA asks all customers who own IKEA 365+ HJÄLTE stirring spatula to stop using it and contact IKEA. The affected product has the article number 401-494-62 and the date stamp 2445 (YYWW) (corresponding to products purchased after November 2024). 

 

Why is this product not safe to use?

Due to a local test in Belgium showing non-compliant migration of primary aromatic amines (PAA) above the permissible limit, IKEA is recalling IKEA 365+ HJÄLTE stirring spatulas with the relevant date stamp.   

What should customers do?

Customers who own one of the affected stirring spatulas, with date stamp 2445 (YYWW), corresponding to products purchased after November 2024, should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, lent or sold to someone else.

IKEA recalls certain outdoor LED lighting chains and lamps with a non-compliant plug from the product families LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA and SVARTRÅ.

IKEA urges all customers who own the affected outdoor LED lighting chains and lamps from the product families LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA and SVARTRÅ  to stop using them and contact IKEA. Due to a manufacturing error, the plug of these products does not fulfil a relevant safety standard, resulting in the risk of electric shock. Affected products can be identified via name of the LED-driver, date stamp of the LED-driver, and name of the plug (all details below).

Why are these products not safe to use?

Safety is a top priority for IKEA and therefore we are recalling certain outdoor LED lighting chains and lamps from the product families LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA and SVARTRÅ as the plug of these products does not fulfill a relevant safety standard, resulting in the risk of electric shock.

During their development, IKEA products are risk assessed and thoroughly tested to make sure that our products comply with applicable requirements and regulation on all markets where IKEA operates. 

Despite this it has come to our attention that a certain plug used for the above-listed products does not comply with a relevant safety standard for limiting water ingress due to a manufacturing error. Therefore, all IKEA outdoor LED lighting chains and lamps that include the affected plug are being recalled. Affected products can be identified via name of the LED-driver (ICPSH24-2-IL-1), date stamp (YYWW - see all affected date stamps in list above) of the LED driver and the name of the plug (SYK-02F). Products with other LED-drivers, other date stamps and another plug are not in scope of this recall. 

What should customers do?

Customers who own one of the affected products should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a replacement product or a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, lent or sold to someone else.
