Since the 1980s we've been serving up tasty hot dogs to hungry shoppers. Now everyone can enjoy our new plant-based hot dog. It's just as tasty as our original icon, but without the meat.
Meet the maker
“When developing this hot dog, the goal was for it to resemble our meat-based hot dog in taste, look and texture as much as possible. And I´m very happy with the result. We have recreated the slightly smoky taste, given the skin the right snap and succeeded in making the hot dog look really tasty. Perfect for anyone who wants to cut back on their meat-eating but loves hot dogs!”

Full of good stuff
Combining food innovation with plant-based ingredients, we've created a truly yummy alternative. Made with rice-based protein, it has a mild and smoky flavour, balanced with the no-added-sugar sweetness of carrot and apple. It's almost a shame to add ketchup and mustard.
Continuing our commitment
As a global business, IKEA has a big responsibility – and opportunity – to make a positive difference.
