Classic comeback
Nytillverkad
Back to the future
Celebrating 80 years of furnishing the homes of the many people, the Nytillverkad collection welcomes the return of favourites from the IKEA archive.
Swedish for “newly manufactured” the Nytillverkad collection is a selection of products from the 1950s-1980s, reimagined in fresh new colours and new materials for a new generation of design lovers. The collection offers well-designed, timeless IKEA classics at an affordable price.

1956
LÖVET
Table
Launched in 1956, the LÖVET table has become an icon of 1950s IKEA design, not least for its part in history as an early example of IKEA flatpack furniture. Named after its leaflike silhouette, its design is evergreen.
2023
LÖVBACKEN
Table
A testament to its success, this isn’t the first comeback for this iconic table. It was relaunched and renamed LÖVBACKEN in 2013, then again in 2021. The future's bright fourth time around as it receives a makeover in three bold new colours.

1980
BLADHULT
Fabric
Back in 1980, the KLIPPAN sofa made its IKEA Catalogue cover debut, dressed in a colourful print, designed by Swedish textile designer Sven Fristedt. Its bright palette expressed the more-is-more aesthetic of the 80s, while the soft, organic forms were characteristic of Scandinavian design.
2023
KRYPKORNELL
Fabric
Boldly revamped and teamed with Sven Fristedt’s LAGERMISPEL - a graphic collection in striking diagonal stripes - the KRYPKORNELL collection welcomes back Sven's lively designs into today's home in upbeat colour combinations.

1973
JERRY
Stool
This stackable stool epitomises simplicity - a key element of our design DNA. Its steel tube legs are a feature of designer Karin Mobring’s trendsetting designs of the time.
2023
DOMSTEN
Stool
Fifty years on, with a new name and now in standout new colours, this low-priced functional favourite is back on its feet.

1978
SMED
Coat stand
Who says coat stands aren’t cool? Rutger Andersson’s distinctive stand made its debut in IKEA stores way back in 1978. The 1970s was a radical time for design and SMED was a hallmark of that vibe.
2023
BONDSKÄRET
Coat stand
Its cactus-like silhouette now comes in yellow and lilac, as well as black. But it has received more than a mere makeover and name change. In its new guise, the materials have been updated for added strength. Also to the designer's delight, the legs now lock at an angle for improved and much appreciated stability.

1982
CYLINDER
Candle holders
Sibling design duo Knut and Marianne Hagberg collectively share 80 years of IKEA design knowledge, with thousands of IKEA products to their credit. The CYLINDER candle holder is straight out of the 80s; 1982 to be precise.
2023
TUVKORNELL
Candle holders
They're back and now they're even brighter. And like the best things, they now come in threes as a colourful set.

1957
BALJA
Plant stand
Back in 1957 and priced at just 36 Swedish kronor (that’s around 3.50 euros) BALJA was one of the lowest-priced plant stands in the IKEA Catalogue.
2023
KULTURSKOG
Plant stand
Now in luscious light green as well as classic black, and with a verdant new name, KULTURSKOG shows off more than just your plants. It's also great for knick-knacks, books and magazines.
