A hallway for all ages

With plenty of space-saving solutions, this family thoroughfare is ready for whatever the day has in store.

A home within the home

This FLISAT doll's house is a welcoming home that gives busy fingers something to do while you struggle with shoelaces and trying to find gloves that match. When they grow up, it's perfect for keys, mobile phones or even displaying family photos.

Colour coordinated

What's your favourite colour? Why not coordinate your storage, so that everyone knows exactly where their belongings live? Colour customised shelves not only add a dash of fun to the hallway, they also create order. They motivate younger family members to put their shoes away in just the right spot, and there's less chance of a mix-up for siblings with matching sneakers, sandals or wellies. Who wants to be red?

Clutter-free

For a more streamlined look, store shoes in slim, wall-mounted cupboards like the TRONES shoe cabinet. They blend seamlessly into the decor and you can hang them at any height, leaving plenty of floor space free below.

Has anyone seen my keys?

Getting everyone out of the door on time can be a pretty big challenge in itself. Then there's trying to remember all the different activities of the day, not to mention remembering where you left your keys. Hooks, pegboards and memo boards like SVENSÅS keep all those last-minute items we often misplace, safe and sound, ready to go!

Just the right height for everyone

Coat racks placed at different levels means a dedicated spot for everyone for coats and jackets, that's well within reach. No more excuses for little (or big) ones leaving outerwear abandoned on the floor. These handy RAGGBERG coat racks with shelf can be placed staggered separately for growing family members, or in a neat grown-up row. They also have a super power: each has a drawer for small items like keys, and a shelf on top for hats and caps.

Packed to the max

No more mismatched gloves! This clever PRESSA hanging dryer isn't just for the laundry area. This house proud octopus has 16 clothes pegs on its tentacles, that's one tentacle per pair of gloves. And when it's not glove sitting, it easily folds up to free up space.

Guess what's inside?

Red for gloves, blue for hats and yellow for scarves. No need to rummage through each drawer in the mad morning dash; create a colour-coded system by personalising drawers like the RAST chest of three drawers, with different coloured handles.

Give your hallway a glow up

A lamp in the hallway provides a soft, welcoming glow for late night arrivals, when (almost) everyone has gone to bed. Paired with a matching mirror, this bright red BLÅSVERK table lamp also adds a pop of colour.

A space for work (or play)

At the end of the corridor, the small wall that often goes unused is a great spot for cabinets, or better still, a sneaky work station – ideal for homework at the end of the school day. Hooks on the wall store cables and headphones, while folders, or maybe arts and craft materials, are stored away in the cupboards above.

Brimming with activity!

It may be narrow, with many doorways that chop up the walls, but this entryway is bursting with great storage ideas for all the family, and there’s even space for a creative nook!

Keeping coats, shoes and accessories in check throughout the day, let alone the seasons, can be quite a tall order – especially when there are fast-growing little ones at home. The hallway is divided: one side for grown-ups, the other for kids. To the left, clothes racks are placed up high, with closed storage and a matching mirror and lamp for one last check before dashing out the door. To the right; colourful open shelves and low-level clothes racks make it easy for little ones to get ready, and less likely to forget things in the mad dash out the door in the morning. The RAGGBERG bench with shoe storage is also perfect for perching while popping on shoes and tying laces in this busy family expressway to the day.

Solid pine creates a calm, natural look, while playful, jolly colours add a dash of child-friendly fun. The great thing about solid wood is that a coat of oil or a lick of paint is an easy way to refresh when it's time for an update or makeover.

This multi-functional, transitional space caters for everyday life and all the “stuff” that comes with it.
