The Tyg collection of 3-metre pre-cut fabrics brings creativity to the home. With up to 20 styles to choose from in cheerful, graphic patterns, each piece is filled with potential. What will you make today? A wall organiser? A vase cover, or a work of art perhaps? Or maybe fix worn favourites, giving them a new lease on life? Make or mend to create fun, unique looks around the home. Go ahead: pull, tear, sew, glue and cut – the only thing stopping your creativity is the hem!
Sew
Make an art piece soft enough to rest your head on. With three seams, two strings and some padding, you can create a soft knot pillow and a playful decoration in one. This creation works wonders as extra storage for clothes, yarn and blankets; just replace the padding with the stuffing of your choice. Unknot it and it also doubles as a cosy draft excluder in the winter.
Why not update an old vase with a colourful skirt? Or maybe a handy play mat that transforms into toy storage at the pull of a drawstring? Cut your piece of fabric into a circle in the size of your choice, sew a drawstring into the hem and voila!

Glue
Take your shelves from plain and ordinary to colourful and eye-catching. Create storage that’s beautiful and easy to navigate with the help of fabrics, scissors and a bit of glue. Choosing different fabrics allows you to create coordinated storage for different rooms and contents. Now what was in those polka dot boxes again?
What to do with leftover fabrics? Create a customised wall hanger of course! Hang your favourite fabric over a wooden stick to keep it straight and use your textile scraps to add personalised pockets in different shapes and sizes.
Staple
Turn your favourite fabrics onto standout works of art around the home. It's a great way to make use of leftover fabric pieces or choose matching fabrics to create coordinated looks in each room. Simply measure, cut out and staple the fabric onto a board and put it up on your wall. Add a layer of felt or foam in between the fabric and board to create your own sound absorbers!

For more than 80 years metre fabrics have been a part of the home textiles range. Over the decades we’ve worked with leading textile artists to create some of the most iconic fabric patterns, some of which inspired the IKEA Museum's latest exhibition Magical Patterns.
The Tyg collection continues that journey, mixing timeless, modern patterns from our vast archive, with inspiring new expressions from the 13 female designers involved, including Luna Gil, Hannah Wilcox, Darja Nordberg, Jenny Bergman, Paulin Machado, Maria Vinka, Anna Salander, Emma Hagman, Inga Leo, Synnöve Mork, Akanksha Deo, Lotta Feldt and Cecilia Pettersson.
FJÄLLDRABA
Designed by Luna Gil, this lively botanical print is a real eye-catcher. Often drawing inspiration from nature, Luna's colourful fruits and flowers brighten up any room. From cushion covers to wall art, whatever you make, this fun and colourful pattern will certainly stand out.
MURREVA
Akanksha Deo's bold, abstracted florals are just bursting with colour and late 20th century nostalgia. The bigger scale of the print is ideal for larger applications. Think curtains, tablecloths, or a flower-forward summer fit.
HÄNGPELARGON
The classic chequerboard pattern takes a fresh twist in lilac and white. Make your own storage or table cover without the need of a ruler or tape measure – just follow the squares!
SANDLUSERN

Designer Anna Salander challenges the old convention that red and pink are incompatible. With its squiggly red vines on a bright pink background, FLUGBLOMSTER proves that pink and red is an unexpected, but fun colour combo!
