IKEA Industry

Portugal

As one of our largest production complexes, IKEA Industry Portugal occupies an area of 470,000 m². Here, we focus on creating high-quality, affordable home furnishing solutions while driving the transition to a circular business. By conserving resources and finding smarter ways to make more from less, we aim to build a better future for people and planet.

Powered by the sun

IKEA Industry Portugal produces some of the most popular IKEA furniture, including the KALLAX shelving unit, the MICKE desk, and the BESTÅ TV bench. These designs have become staples of the IKEA range, blending timeless craftsmanship with responsible production.

Since opening in 2008, we have worked hard to protect biodiversity, use resources responsibly, and reduce carbon emissions across our value chain. One example is the 176,000 m² of solar panels installed on our plant roofs, helping us move steadily towards self-sufficiency and a more sustainable future.
