Enabling social change

We at IKEA stand for equality and fair treatment of people in all circumstances and situations. From our co-workers, suppliers to customers and families living in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities – we always strive to promote equality, diversity and respect for human rights in everything we do, because we believe nobody’s equal till everybody’s equal.

Notice violence

Every third woman in the Baltics has experienced domestic violence at least once in her life. To raise public awareness and to contribute to a better everyday life for the many, we have announced the Corporate Social Responsibility program as a commitment to fight the domestic violence in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Join us in the movement!

Our social partnerships

In partnership with Save the Children and UNICEF, we support social activities on a global level. Meanwhile in the Baltics, we carry out the movement against domestic violence and collaborate with numerous stakeholders including policy makers, NGOs, crisis centres and media partners to look for the long-term solutions together.

We do not support:

  • financially,
  • for-profit organisations,
  • charitable activities in-store or around, unless they are focused on children (weekends only),
  • public relations activities or advertising,
  • individual requests (a single person support),
  • animal welfare organisations,
  • religious communities,
  • sports clubs,
  • events,
  • contests and competitions,
  • projects with a narrow focus on community,
  • projects which are open to a limited number of community members,
  • conferences and seminars,
  • art and entertainment programs,
  • political or medical organisations,
  • advertising campaigns,
  • brochures or local newspapers of charitable organisations.
