Excellent Baby CribSharonLove this item so much that I bought two so that each grandchild could have a crib at the beach house when they visit. Simple, clean lines!5
Minimalist CribJAIMEIt's an incredibly cute crib. Simple and sweet. Easy to build. The only reason I gave it a four is because it only has two height settings. And the top setting is only a couple inches higher than the bottom.4
Best BuyDANIELLEI love this crib! Easy to assemble, looks great in our room and does the job. Also. It doesn’t take up much space which is a bonus. I’d recommend this crib to budget friendly consumers5

My daughter chose this cribIngridMy daughter chose this crib as a baby shower gift because she did research and found that this is what worked best for her child!5
Poor quality!grace0808the Bolts Nuts hardware has defects and cannot be screwed to the very end.1
Very sturdy!Pampa62I bought this for my new grandson because my daughter resisted owning a crib. Now she is a crib convert! (She loves Ikea). Easy to put together and very sturdy!5
Easy to assemble, wish the wood was smoothJen OWe bought this and assembled it today. It was very easy to put together - the instructions were a bit tricky but it is very few pieces of wood and hardware to put together. My only complaints: the warning label is directly printed in ink onto the wood, at the top of the crib, which is a very ugly site! Luckily, we were able to easily sand it off. Other complaint- the wood itself is a bit rough. I was hoping for a smoother finish like the other ikea products we have. I am a bit worried about eventual splintering if baby runs his hands along it a bit, or puts his mouth on it. All in all, it is a beautiful crib and we are excited that it will be able to grow with us and be adjusted as the years go on.5
100% Recommendcb1397This crib is amazing! It is visually pleasing and sturdy. It is comfortable to lean over and place baby into or pick up from. It is easy to adjust the mattress level or change it to a toddler bed. I definitely recommend this, it is a wonderful product for the price!5
Instructions for crib assembly in warning labelKLK0013Wanted to start off by saying that the crib assembly instructions are in a pouch behind one of the warning labels where the mattress will rest. The instructions for the toddler bed are in the box and make no sense until you realize they aren’t the crib instructions. Trying to save others time. We figured it out after 15 minutes and watching a YouTube video online and there are a lot of people who spent hours trying to figure out how to assemble it because it isn’t obvious right away. Once you have the right instructions, assembly is very easy. Next, I would give this 5 stars BUT... the warning labels on the sides of the cribs are no longer stickers. They have been printed directly onto the wood and it’s an eyesore. Thankfully it came off with some light sanding, but there doesn’t even need to be warning labels there. All the warnings you need are where the mattress goes and the “warnings” on the side of the crib basically tell you to fully read the warnings where the mattress goes. Safety is important, but it’s pretty ridiculous. That aside, it’s a sturdy crib for a fantastic price. I wish there were 3 levels for the mattress, but don’t care enough about that to pay for a more expensive crib.4
Not as it appears!NewMomma2020Put the crib together only to realize that it has warning labels stamped on both sides of the crib, which is not evident in the photos. Tried to see if we could get it off with water but it appears as though we are stuck with these awful warnings in black ink. Also, the crib we purchased states it was manufactured in 2004, which is concerning in that it is now 2020. The infant level is also not as high as it was in previous years (noticed this in pictures on Pinterest). I’m debating whether or not to have my husband return it now that it’s assembled.2
Great price for a solid cribhippypandaThis is actually the second Sniglar crib that we've purchased. The first was used for 4 years with our oldest son, converted into a toddler bed when he was old enough. We'd still be using that original crib except that my large, 250lbs husband put his full weight plus the 35lbs of our son on the crib base, which caused it to crack. It withstood my son jumping on it, playing with our dog on it, just generally being a kid. Nearly 300lbs is asking a little too much. :)5
Inexpensive but sturdy!Noelles MamaA sturdy wooden crib that won’t break the bank. This is a safe place to sleep - even for my active baby. Love the minimalist look as well!5
Beautiful solid cribJk09301High quality and nice to look at. Well functioned with all four side transparent.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful, renewable and recyclable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood. This way, every tree is put to good use that little extra.
