These are amazing!LA K.I have purchased all kinds of blackout curtains, they never do a good job. These are awesome! I first purchased when the streetlights outside my house were changed to LED lights. They shone so brightly through my living room windows that it affected my sleep if my bedroom door was open. These are the only thing that worked! They work so well that I decided to get one for my bedroom. The sun shines brightly in my window from the moment it rises until about 4 p.m.! I had 2 blackout curtains in that window and the sun was still intruding and impeding my sleep. I purchased this and now the curtain is just there for decoration. These really work well. I purchased a more costly but similar product from Family Dollar and the adhesive doesn't stay and it really doesn't block the light. These have no issue staying up and they come with velcro strips to keep them down and clips to keep them up. The only thing I like better about the Family Dollar brand is the clips. They are clamps, but IKEA sends a flat plastic thing that doesn't hold them up that well. Especially if you want most of the blind up. The clips only hold a small portion. But so what! They are made to block the light and that they do well!5
Good for privacyJaniceGood for privacy3
Does what it is supposed to do!NicoleThis product is ok. Just paper! By no fault of the product, our dogs are able to get to the window and with the blind being paper, it was ruined in the 1st min. If we didn't have dogs...I am sure that it would last a long while. The velcro and the two brackets work great.4

Great for when you are remodeling a placeLil C.Great for when you are remodeling a place. Easy to put on windows; great product.5
Very stylishEdwardIt is very stylish; love having blackout shades for privacy; the dark gray color softens the look—the clips for raising work well but require more attention than a roller shade. I also loved your black roller shades. Please bring them back!4

DurableSeemiIt’s a very good temporary solution.5
Falling off after 2 daysBelisa83I love how they look. Not bad at all for 6 bucks. They were easy to cut to size and the truly do blackout the sunlight. I’ve had them up for 2 days though and there are already falling off. I guess you get what you pay for. Now time to look for new shades.1
Love these!Jackie171I bought a couple of these for my kitchen- they look beautiful! I'm ordering 7 more for other windows. You're not going to find a better looking blind, especially for this price. Like everyone else, I think the little plastic pieces need to be improved. But then, they would probably have to raise the price, so I'll live with it.5
mvanetsI'm giving it 5 stars because of its price-quality ratio. Yes, the blinds are not great, but come on! With this price you couldn't find anything greater (I bought them on sale for $5.99). Now about some points: 1. First, if you're looking to buy something for a long-term use, I would buy something more durable, better-looking, and more expensive. Mine is temporary. 2. It is like paper, so I don't think it's very durable. I bought it only 2 days ago, so I haven't had any issues yet. 3. Some people were complaining about the clips not strong enough and not holding the blinds. They actually do hold them if you clip them in a right way. Look at the last picture of the product, and try to move it all the way so that it can hold the whole width in it. 4. It works great blocking the light.5
Bad clips that hold the shade upShoebabe14567I bought these shades in 2018 and everything worked great. Now i bought them again in 2020 and the quality of the clips that hold open the shade are thinner and definitely not as strong as before. They don't even hold open the shade. The clips are garbage. Ikea was trying to cut costs and it is obvious to me.3
Love these shades!Wbrown55So easy to install Keeps the room cooler5
TRULY Blackout!RomanDruidThese were just going to be a temporary solution for bedroom windows in a new home, but I will keep them up for a while longer than I expected. My bedroom has north and east windows, so there is a LOT of bright light pouring in summer mornings before I want to be awake. Even mounted inside the frames, these blinds block out 99% of the early morning sun.5
Doesn’t stick on for long.ClarrisaBought this product today. Put them on followed instructions and within an hour the sticky part fell off and ripped the corner off. Plus it’s very thin paper very easy to get torn.1
The truthNicknamesforikeaThey don't open to 74 unless they are stretched. There is a shiny side so if you care about how they look from the outside and don't want that plant growing suspicious vibe fyi. They will fall. After less than 24hrs one has separated from it's sticky tape and dropped down (no ikea, I can't go to the store for a return because it's really difficult to get to you), the little clips that come with the shades are useless, you'll need other clips. Otherwise, they do a great job of darkening a room and blocking out the sun.2
Worthless if you need them to stay openblakeazoidCan't argue with the price! That said, I though these would at least stay open with the supplied clips. Nope. If you want the blinds open, you have to push them up and hold it in place with the plastic clips. But the clips are so flimsy they're not actually strong enough to hold the weight of the rest of the blinds, so it just falls open again. I suppose these blinds would be great if you just want them closed all the time.1
You get what you pay forSalphBlinds are a super low-priced option to cover up tall windows quickly. But they're pretty poor quality. The adhesive to fix the blinds to the top of the window frame wore out within a few weeks. The plastic fasteners used to roll the blinds up fall off frequently. It's basically like taping a sheet of black paper to your window.2
