Bad trash canPETERSo many problems here. It smudges and looks gross without regularly cleaning it. The lid makes a loud sound if it closes. And the lid stays up and doesn’t swing back down when it opens.1
Poor qualitySamelyThe top does not fit the bottom. And its already changing colors. I feel like I honestly could find a better one for a cheaper price.1
Not the best.Lucky10Looks beautiful, but lid is so hard to deal with. Took it off once and couldn't put it back on. It stays off now which ruins the whole look and purpose of buying this type of trash can.2
Looks good but...dodie1The lid tips up and stays there. You have to push it back down which is annoying. It looks good but it is too expensive for a garbage can. I bought a plastic one for $1.50 that does the job...it may not look as nice but it's a garbage can!!3
Not easy to closeOscarPebbleI bought this trash can because it looks stylish and has a lid. However, I can never put the lid back on once it's taken out. When I can finally close it, my fingers are pinched. I almost wanted to toss it. But I decided to keep it, just not using the lid or leave it partially close.2
Bathroom trash canDonna772I like this product because it’s the perfect size plus I really like that it has a rotating lid.5
Very functionalPontix76It’s very functional and perfect for small spaces with the top opening5
Nice looking bathroom trash canTriboloThis small trash can is nice looking & functional. The only issue is that the lid does not spin around 360 degrees, so sometimes it’s easier to deposit garbage on the opposite side that you open the lid.4
Not a long live though good lookingdesigner_in_dallasFirst week someone else cleaned office bathroom, they through away the plastic rim to hold the plastic bag. Bought a new one for home, my husband did the same thing! Not very obvious for people... The top also got rusted over time with cleaning. Not sure what is with all these stainless steel products that DO RUST, though they are stainless steel. I only recommend if you don't care to replace it in a year.3
Poor quality and designJenniferrrrI bought this trash can about 2 months ago. It is very difficult to change the liner as the lid is too tight to the can. The liner is also always showing unless you feel like spending minutes trying to squeeze it under just so. Mine gets spritzed with water occasionally from my shower and that little bit has made it begin to rust which is ridiculous in such a short amount of time. Really just not worth it.1
Hard to change linerAEDMThe look and function are great but it’s tedious and time consuming to change a liner bag. I think the black plastic ring is meant to keep the bag up (??) but even aside from that challenge is getting the tight fitting lid back on.2
Poor designJHNDThis can is not worth the money at all and it cannot hold a plastic bag inside as a liner, the plastic can inside doesnt' lift out of the metal casing outside.1
Not a goo designElsarhoads32This trash can has a lid that’s very difficult to put on. It came with a black plastic ring that I’m guessing went inside the lip of the can. The ring didn’t fit and there was no instructions on how to use it or where it went. Therefore I threw it out. I can’t even get a bag in there because the lid is impossible to get on , it gets stuck on either side and then the other side you can get down. Please add instructions to this can1
All looksMontrealsueBought this today because I love the look! Returning tomorrow because the top is impossible to get on and off for emptying! Would love a redesign to correct this flaw1
Love itKayaBuju05Love it. I would purchase more if it was more affordable5
can"t get the lid off to empty.chiomait's so difficult to remove the lid that i thought it didn't come off. ...this can was a waste of money, even at a 25% discount.2
Lid is impossible to get off to empty!Heather in ColoradoIn 6 months I got the lid off once and all other times I had to tip it over on its side and shake the garbage out and pull everything out, disgusting. Also, when it's half full, the lid gets stuck in the open position. I finally got so tired of this I threw it away, the whole can. What a waste of money.1
Looks are deceptivelindilouI bought two of the Severn trash cans for my bathrooms, because of the sleek style. After several months of use, I don’t recommend the Severn. When removing the lid, the black rubber always falls out and doesn’t stay in place. Next, the lid does not fit back onto the can easily. It takes too much time to re-adjust the lid to the upper edge of the trash can. The cans have dents now because the metal is too flexible. I plan to find new trash cans as replacements.1
Looks greatLoriO205Perfect size, looks great.5
Great Features!!PunkytpWe love our new trash can with the design of the lid, it keeps our dog from getting into it!!5

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.
