Great frameGLENDAFor the price this is a wonderful find. Looka very nice5
Best framesASTAI have been buying Ribba frames for years. They are the best I have found. I especially like the glare resistant plexiglass, it not only makes the pictures easy to see but if one does get knocked of the wall we don’t have glass to clean up.5
Best Value weirdly sizedOSWALDOI was looking for some frames for posters and these worked nicely. Of course I had to cut away the white framing insert to make room, I kinda wish that the I fo displayed on these frames also included the size of the frame separate from the size of the square space that has been pre cut for a picture. Since these frames are actually bigger than the advertised size.4
Nice picture frame for theDouglasNice picture frame for the price5
Great looking frame at an Exceptionally Great priceJOELI had a Mr. Brainwash print that I’d been meaning to frame for a very long time; came across this frame at IKEA and decided to give it a shot. The thick black frame contrasted by the white mat looks like a professional frame job. You will have to provide your own hanging hardware and make sure you secure the backing board to the frame itself, but once you’ve got it set, it looks fantastic and you just can’t beat the price!5
Proud momentLYNNI was looking for a picture frame to showcase my son's accomplishment from the military. It was easy to use and the RIBBA was a perfect it.5
Picture framesKEVINLove these frames. I have them throughout the house.5
Not Like the OriginalTONYAI broke a Ribba frame I’ve had for 10 years. The frame was made of wood and the insert was glass. I am disappointed that my replacement Ribba frame is made of some kind of pressed paper and the insert is plastic. It’s also not the same thickness as the original. What a disappointment! It’s okay. I’m keeping it because it’s replacing the one frame needed for a pair of pictures.3
Exactly what I neededNIKOLEThis is exactly what I needed for a picture above the bed in the master bedroom. It’s a great price and the quality I need. Looks great, you’d never guess it was such a good deal. The hanging hardware is useless, but I used the included screws to add a wire (not included) and hang it using a picture hanging kit (not included).5
DO NOT BUYMorgan H.I originally purchased two of these. One broke in the mail before it even arrived , the other broke before being hung. Horrid quality, don’t recommend unless you want a headache.1
Exactly what I expectedChrisExactly what I expected5

Nice frames, great valueJenniferThese are nice frames, not glass, but you can't tell. Where in the world can you get this nice of a frame for this price? Only Ikea.!5
Started peeling before I couldNicoleStarted peeling before I could even hang them up.1

WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ???MICHAEL O.I like the frames... had to leave this one star review.. to comment on other one star reviews... I find it amusing and disappointing at the same time that people take the time to write a negative review. If they had taken half that time to hit the 'Product Detail' tab.. they could have saved time all around. You assume it's glass for a fraction of what other retailers charge... it says its plastic -it never said said it was glass. SPOILER ALERT: In the kitchen hardware selections; it looks like gold hardware.... it's not 24 carat.. shocker!!!1
RIBBA FramesQuangThese are very good in smaller size. With larger size, the frame is not strong enough to hang by its frame, it requires some extra wiring in the back to keep it from bending in the long run.3
Love the Ribba framesLakia C.I love the Ribba frames. I placed them over my staircase and they look amazing.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is fiberboard?

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fiber becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
