Back panel should be spray marked with dots to show where nails should be located; or written directions should number of nails per side and top/bottom.
Paint does not adhere well to cabinet frame: I used olive painters masking tape to mark where holes should be kept free for hinges, and removing the tape resulted in paint being peeled off.4
Why are we still using particleboard?ChrisFirst off let me say that I wish it were black but the gray is a nice new addition to the lineup. I probably could have gone with white for my room but I really wanted a darker color.
Now for the good, the bad, and the so so.
The good. It’s extremely versatile. I highly recommend building your pax layout in an Ikea store with an experienced designer. Why? Well when you do, they will add all that you want and then provide you a printout of what holes to mount your drawers, shelfs and whatever other items you want inside. Their software even accounts for where the door hinges will be. Trust me it’s worth saving the frustration.
Assembly is easy of the main unit itself. However, lets get two terrible things out of the way. The particleboard base and the height adjustable leg design do not work. It’s garbage and ikea should be ashamed of this. You get these inserts with cleats that you have to smack into particleboard with a hammer. Any attempt to move this unit ever so slightly with the legs extended is going to rip the inserts and particleboard right out. Good thing I keep JB weld around for garbage like this. Adding JB weld was the only way to get the inserts back in to the base. They ripped out huge chunks of particle board because of their installation. This is a major design flaw IMHO.
To give you an idea on my utilization of this item as I’m not using this as a wardrobe. I’m using it to house a 3D printer on a pullout shelf, a laser printer on a pullout shelf, to store a bunch of 3D print spools of filament and a bunch of things out taking up room in man-cave. Now everything is tucked away and super tidy.3

Great for the priceRachelThis is definitely worth the price, especially compared to the alternatives for a "custom" closet/wardrobe. However, the assembly of the back panel was poorly designed. There is so little space to nail in the tiny brads that it left big chips on the inside of the cabinet. Luckily, we have doors on ours, so they're only visible when you go into the cabinet, but it annoys me when I see them.4
