Great purchaseGladysThis faucet is perfect for small or medium size sink, unbeatable price, installation was not simple, but just fallow the instructions & it look great. 🙂5
Small faucetZucytkoGood looking and very compact, perfect for small spaces!! It also has a water saving system to help reduce your water bill!!5
It was a perfect fit for our IKEA sink!Kallstrom girlI bought it about 6 months ago and it works exactly the way we wanted it to. Our other fixture was too tall and sprayed water everywhere.5
Hoses too shortqualifysiWe bought this to install in a new bathroom. Due to other circumstances, the taps for the hot and cold lines were installed 6-8 *higher* than they would be in most bathrooms. The lines coming from the faucet were still another ~6 too short. (If the taps were in the usual place, the lines would have been ~12 too short.) The quality of the faucet itself seemed good, but we never got it hooked up to test it. We bought Ikea sink, cabinet, and faucet, and ran into problems just about every step of the way and ended up modifying a lot of it. If you've ever had problems assembling a KULLEN, you can expect to have problems attaching an OLSKÄR to a HEMNES sitting on a RÄTTVIKEN. Only it's much worse, because you're now dealing with water. We ended up retrofitting about half of everything we bought with parts from the hardware store.2
Leaks after a while!Ijr2587Bought 2 for a double sink. One of them started leaking on the sides after a week. I returned it and got an exchange. A month later the second one started leaking and then I replaced that one. After a year both leak now and I have to replace them. I am not going to exchange it to have the same problem I will go somewhere else to get new faucets! This is also with turning the water pressure down at the valves to see if that helped. It did not help these definitely have a seal that goes defective inside. You can see that by removing the handle. The inside fills with water then leaks out the sides.1
Leaking from sidemc1984I bought this less than a year ago and it is leaking from the sides, it developed leak along the spout. It has developed some kind of cracks along the side and now it shoots a spray of water from the sides. It was disappointing as this did not last.1
Space saverGolf4Needed to have a very compact sink & storage area for small bathroom..... Worked out great5
romylou 73I this fauset together with the sink cabinet both were such a good product love it.5
Leaking from the side of the spout.bummedoutWe had this installed about a year ago when we got new countertops put in, and picked it because it is affordable and metal (as opposed to painted plastic from the big box stores). It just developed a crack in the side of the spout, so it drips water down to the base of the faucet every time we use it. I have no idea how a crack could have developed over time, and my only idea is that it was there from the beginning and the water pressure just made it worse and worse until it burst. Learn from my mistake and don't buy a faucet from a place with no guarantees or coverage for problems that happen after installation.1
Hugo007It good product saves money good quality am happy4
Looks Nice !! with the TYNGEN Sink.Debbie 71Love the simple design easy to use.5
Perfect for kid bathroomDeanna in PortlandSIMPLE! Reminds me of school faucets. Looks great on the small double sinks. Works well! GREAT PRICE!5
Worth More Than The Price!JLeo47Excellent faucet. Easy install. Functions very well.5
Nice Faucet. Beware of the short hoseFoxJonesThe faucet is lovely and comes attachments. The attachments are a bit short for most applications, please measure your connections to be sure it will work for you. I had to have my connections altered to make this work.3
Works as expected.Meg13This is a fine faucet. Not exciting or anything, but it works like it should. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that one of the two of this unit that we bought is just a bit torqued - instead of the faucet coming straight out from its column, it's twisted just a few degrees. Enough to notice, but not enough to make me travel the 40miles each way to return it. It's not a big deal, but people considering this unit might want to pull it out of the box & take a look.4
Excellent value, design & ergonomicsHomegetitdoneThe second IKEA lavatory faucet I've purchased and installed. Excellent value - brass and chrome5
Great value for the priceSeattle77Installed two of these into a rental apartment unit. They are compact in size, all metal, and came with all the needed parts, including intergral supply hoses. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up over time. Im assuming these are Use and Loose faucets since no replacement valves advertised for sale. Also be aware of this warranty exclusion on the 10 year warranty statement at Ikea bathroom faucets. [ What is covered under this Limited Warranty? The 10-year Limited Warranty is valid for all bathroom faucets except OLSKÄR] For $25 these are nicer than the plastic generic faucets out there in this price range.5
pleseantly surprisedKele2012I bought and installed 6 months ago and it works well. Its stronger than one would guess5

Water-conscious commitment in bathrooms

Every time you brush your teeth, wash your hands, shave or take a bath, you can help with something essential – saving water. That’s why all our taps have an aerator that saves water and energy while keeping the water stream just right. But that’s just a small part of a bigger effort: conserving more clean water than we use.  Read More
Antony Smith, an engineer from England, remembers when he joined IKEA and the small team that develops our taps and showers. "I realized we practice what we preach about sustainability," Antony says. "It's a refreshing experience, but it makes our job really difficult because we genuinely have to deliver on sustainability with each product."

Water is precious, but often taken for granted

So, why conserving water? Because no organism on earth can survive without it, and no new water is created. It's constantly recycled, but our freshwater supply is overused and not evenly distributed. It’s impacted by pollution, contamination and climate change, too. "Those of us who live where you can just turn on your tap may not think about saving water; it's taken for granted," Antony says.

Thinking about water at every step

Behind the scenes, we constantly explore new ways to improve water efficiency. That includes providing factory workers and their families with fresh drinking water, ensuring all factory water is cleaned before release, reducing water usage in textile production and using rainwater to flush toilets in stores. And now we are working on new taps using sensors and spray technology – and new water-efficient showers – to save even more. Every water-saving action adds up.
