Very Sturdykiera0709I got this bed when I was about 10 and I'm 20 now, and it's only just starting to show some wear. The rung I always step on is a bit wiggly and the board by my feet is cracked from I guess kicking it, but it's still 100% stable and safe.5
65 yr old Granny built it alone!DebbZeeI had no problem. I did it completely alone. No problem.5
Excellent bunk bed for my elementary kids!!AvengerMomReal wood and solid—we love this bed!! In fact, we got two of them. Very happy kids; very happy parents!5
So glad we bought it!Harper27Purchased last month and the kids are truly enjoying their bed. Not complicated to put together and with two people prob took about 1.5 hours. Sturdy and well-made. I love that it’s not too high off the ground but enough room for storage underneath. Also like that the top bunk’s safety rail is high and makes our son feel very safe. Hooray!5
Good bunkNelletOverall, it's a good bunk for my little ones. It should work while my kids are small, but I did notice the bottomw boards bend easily when my little 4 year old moves from one area to another.4
Overall happy w/ end product but hard to assembleSpivurnaI love the end product. We are not new to assembling pieces from ikea. So just to give you a heads up, this was the most time intensive out of all our purchases. Good luck!5
Great ValuebagofbagelsAfter looking for used bunk beds, I found that these were about the same price, brand new, and could be painted/stained in whatever color I wanted for the girls' room. These were pretty easy to put together and are sturdy for our smaller kiddos. I'm thinking about getting another set for our boys' room too.4
GREAT bunk bedsHoltzclawThese bunk beds are awesome! They are very sturdy and do no creek or make noise. Definitely a job to get them together, but worth it! They are a good height, and not too tall like most sets we’ve looked at. Great price too. The best part is the wood is unfinished so you can do whatever you want to them! We plan to stain them a nice rich color but you could paint them too!5
Solid, good looking bunk frameNc2001Bought this a few weeks ago, and so far so good. The frame is sturdy and not squeaky, and the unfinished wood actually looks pretty nice. Great value. The only thing I’d say could improve is that the ladder slats are pretty thin, so for adults climbing up it’s pretty uncomfortable on the feet.4
Fantastic bedsherill77I have been researching bunk bed for a few months now for my 6 year old son, and went to look at this one at Ikea a few weeks ago. Someone complained that the head of the bed needed to be higher, but now that it's up, I think it is fine. Someone also complained that putting the slates on the bed was difficult and I think that was the easiest part. I did have trouble with the tool that tightens the fasteners. It could be a bit bigger and I have small hands. I am a 77 year old woman and put this together myself with the help of my 6 year old when I had to have him hold one of the sides for me so I could attach the bottom bed.5
MkonoQuality material. Very Sturdy5
Easy setup, pretty sturdyJeaniebeanieThe setup is easy if you pay attention to assembly instructions. All parts were were included and no hardware was missing. Seems pretty sturdy to hold two 7 year old boys who loved the setup.5
Mica BooI Love this bunk bed perfect for my children5
Good....but could be betterEli2020Good bed, but it had so many parts!!! You had to hammer in all the individual slats-your hands will hurt at the end. Also, if you have active kids that jump on the bed, the screws will become a bit loose after some time-you will need to tighten them from time to time. We also found out this wood has a very strong smell, so if you have bad allergies you may not be able to sleep on on your bed for 1 month (that's what happened to my daughter).3
Joan62This is a great bed for young kids and is low enough to accommodate ceiling fans.5
Mary4773I am very pleased with the bunk beds. They are sturdy and the grand kids love them!5
Great value!anamacThis was a great purchase, my daughters love their new beds. The price is a great value and it seems sturdy and most of all a space-saver! It had to be assembled by two people. I like the height, I think it is safe for my kids.5
Great Bunk !JW528Key to why I bought this bed, its all wood ! no partial board or synthetic materials used! Fits the need and space for it. Only reason to not give it 5 stars is on the short edge boards the cam-lock hole wasn't drilled right and I had to make them deeper for the bed to go together. Not a big deal for me, but would have been for some.4
Sturdier Then ExpectedDAXXXFrame is a lot more solid then I expected. The lower bunk should have more slats to form a higher headboard/ footboard.4
PerfectMrsSiiSiiRazo424I bought this for my daughters small bedroom, to help open up some space. And it is perfect! I love the neutrality of the wood and the options it offers for change in the future!5

Bunk beds are safe and fun

Kids love the fun, cozy feel of a bunk bed. They also like to move around in bed after you’ve turned off the lights. That’s why we have strict construction requirements. We also test our bunk beds thoroughly to ensure they are strong, durable and safe for children. For instance, the guardrails are set to prevent a child from slipping through. There is only one opening in the guardrails, reducing the risk of falling from the upper bed. Also, the ladder steps are evenly spaced to make climbing up and down easier. Upper bed is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
