Nice quality, great modern shapeBARBNice quality, great modern shape & well balanced when pouring.5
Terrible tea potRACHELIt looks nice and it feels solid but it leaks and the plastic black tip melted a little!! And it gets very hot the handle and water leaks from the spout and the lid when you are pouring it out. Very disappointed with this purchase I am planning on returning it!!1
On the pricey side butManOn the pricey side but useful. The handle is comfortable to hold.5
KettleAnneWe wanted a metal kettle to put on pot belly stove at our mountain cabin so that moisture could steam into the air. Mountain air is very dry. Perfect. And we can use the hot water for tea.😁5
Great quality but bottom too thinASHANice and heavy but a little too thin on the bottom so it stains easy. Can be cleaned well but some stains may still appear. I recommend use with a gas stove and not electric.4
Beautiful shape and functionaldiane19I bought this kettle because of its very stylish shape. But what I also appreciate is the large opening at the top. Most kettles I've had in the past had smaller openings that didn't alliow me to fit my hand inside to really clean it well.5
Ewwww RUST!hotpinkfireI used it every day for only a month. One day I happen to look at the inside of the lid and RUST!! Then where the wall lining meets the spout ... rust!!!! Returned!3
Nice designKimintheBerkshiresI will be returning.. Lid is very hard to put in place Too shiny and I know after one use it will look awful. I’m just not that good at cleaning !!! to keep it looking so nice.3
well made kettle !!jepdI just love the design...simple and classic...many compliments on it!!5
Dangerousmariam03I am really not happy with the kettle. It is very dangerous. It takes a long time to boil water. When it is ready I can’t take the stopper out, which is too hot to touch. The water pours out very slowly from the stopper and if you tilt it the wrong way water pours out from everywhere. I usually have a puddle of water on my countertop. It is very dangerous that the boiling water spills everywhere. Also the handle gets super hot. It is really not a good kettle. I bought it because of the way it looked but now I have to buy another.1
DisappointingLulu555Many functional problems with this kettle: 1- Not sure why but it takes much, much longer to boil water than my last kettle on the same burner. 2- The whistle on the spout cap lets out a lot of steam making it very difficult to not steam-burn your hand when removing to pour. 3- Something about the interior of the spout causes water to come splashing out as you pour, dumping boiling water everywhere. 4- The whistle sounds terrible – like weak, wobbly, hoarse and truly awful. Bought because it is much more aesthetically pleasing than my old used and abused kettle, but really wish I hadn't.1
VERY DANGEROUS, do not buy nor use this product!RexKAfter two uses the minimal spot welds that hold the handle on BROKE while pouring boiling hot water into a mug! Luckily we were only splashed with boiling water, but this could have led to very severe burns!1
Attractive but unusablebillhowardI like the aesthetics. Material quality seems OK. The spout cover/whistle is impossible to remove, even with considerable force. Could not reach IKEA customer service. Calls rejected ue to high call volumes,1
Looks Nice ( ONLY )halfmoonPlease careful with your purchase this item, it leaks from spout. Another silly purchase by me1
No whistlejmeeBought this a month ago because I liked the look and the heft and my cheaper IKEA model had discolored inside and outside and was making the water taste bad. Have been using it daily, though I have had to wrestle with lid every day to get it open to add water. Spout lid was whistling intermittently from the beginning. Didn't work today. Melted the lid handle and destroyed the pot. I'm waiting for it to stop crackling so I can throw it in the trash. I'm heading to Amazon for a real whistling tea kettle. Disappointed but wiser...1
Looks good but does not function properlyApple4meBought and returned it. The lid is very tight, unable to open it after pushing down with unusual force. Trying to keep it with last attempt by asking the worker at return desk to open it and he couldn’t do it neither.1
Awesome modern look, BUT ..... : (Crushed in LAI bought this on looks alone and LOVED the modern straight design. So hard to find a truly modern looking kettle. Alas, it has some serious functional flaws... 1. Hassle to remove the stopper to pour. Can see the stopper breaking very quickly due to repeated removals. 2. Handle does not have a coating and is super-hot to the touch. 3. There is a seam along the bottom edge that will deteriorate over time. This has been a problem with my previous kettles where that seam corroded, rusted, and split. 4. The lid is so dang tight and nearly impossible to remove without having to slightly jerk it open dozens of times all around, until it finally releases and can be removed. Please, PLEASE, address these issues, and I promise I will re-buy this kettle and will post a glowing review next time. I so adored this kettle, but as soon as I tried to use it I just had to return it within the week. I was crushed...3
Attractive form, challenging functionScrappy12This kettle caught my eye for its design, very attractive modern lines. I also was looking for a kettle with a whistle. However, I find it difficult to use. When the whistle attachment is on, it is not possible to pour water through the small hole without dribbling the hot water on the counter. So, I end up removing the whistle entirely, which is difficult when the kettle is hot. I thought I might be using improperly, but checked the directions and there is no additional information about usage. I am considering returning the product.2
Whistle ?home chefUsing it daily but the whistle isn't loud enough4
