Mattress SlatsLeeMANY years ago, I purchased a bed from IKEA that included these slats for the mattress to lay on. They came separate so you had to lay them done one at a time; but they did attach to the frame of the bed. This newer type comes with the slats connected to each other so it was much easier to install however, they don't attach to the frame and they do move a little. I like how they are made from solid wood and not pressboard.4
Good woodkiritkumarEasy install5
Good productKimWorked great with a metal twin frame we already had. It was a great alternative to purchasing a box spring.5
OkTAMMYWe bought this as a replacement for the first set; they tend to slide and move easily and when they move it puts different pressure on them and they break. The last set my husband had to attach to the middle guide with screws. But it does the trick without needing to spend a bunch on a box spring.3
Simple, good quality, excellent design.MaressaSo simple and well designed, made it a breeze to set up!5
bedframe purchaseElisabethThanks for the info on where to purchase this item on the web. Not the easiest to navigate the website though.4
Very light, not strong enoughJEFFREYVery light, not strong enough1
It worksAppleonea E.Does what it’s suppose to do. Over time though, it does start to make noise when you get on and off the bed.4
I am very unhappy withSUSANI am very unhappy with the quality of the slats. While placing it on the bed frame I immediately got two splinters. Yesterday while making the bed, a large piece of a slat just came off. Not safe, especially for a child's bed.1
why does a bed notLoganwhy does a bed not come with supports why did i have to buy this separately3
Good price, works well, muchSarahGood price, works well, much simpler than a box spring.5
Bed slatsMerryI was disappointed that the bed slats were two separate pieces. I had to bring a lot of bricks in and make a line down the middle of the bed frame to support the edges of both pieces. That gave it enough support to keep the box springs from falling off the edges of the rail. There was actually only 3 rails with this bed, maybe missing the top rail. Probably why I needed the bricks to support the bed slats.4
I brought for to goLEEI brought for to go with bed, which was sold separately.5
AverageRondaProduct will probably be alright if IKEA will ever get the rest of the bed delivered. This was shipped and pkg completely destroyed; no top left on box, slats slightly scratched.3
Bed slats.AlfredoGreat product at an amazing price. Very easy to set up. Great quality5
Fast delivery, looked and functionedMilenaFast delivery, looked and functioned just as expected. Will certainly recommend5
Works, but you"ll want double sided tape to hold it in placeChristyIt is not 1 solid piece. Its 2 narrow rows of slats strapped together. Easy to install, but I suggest double sided tape to keep it from shifting, otherwise, it'll shift when you turn over and slip out of place. we put small strip of tape on each rung and it doesn't move.4

What is layer-glued wood?

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape. We often use wood like birch, beech, ash and even bamboo – and strive to use the raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste. Just like solid wood, it has natural variations in structure and colour.
