Wonderfully-designed, sturdy doors!AmericanHistorianWe purchased two sets of these doors for a china cabinet I've been building for our kitchen. As I planned the openings and overall height, I was impressed by the forethought that went into the design of the doors, from the highly-adjustable hinges to the size and location of the horizontal members. My fixed 2X12 shelves fit into the design of the doors easily, and the placement of the door glass offers me the greatest flexibility designing my adjustable shelves. While this product has been designed for use with the Liatorp system, I've found the terrific design elements work quite well in other applications. Definitely two thumbs up!5
Solid, Attractive, But Not Easy To AssembleCombatCriticWe bought three with the matching 1/2 glass doors, creating a library hutch for my wife and the boxes just barely fit in our 2017 Ford Escape. They were very heavy. It took my wife and I 3-4 hours to assemble all three section of the hutch, including doors. The finished product came out very nicely and my wife is thrilled! It looks more traditional and substantial than some of Ikea's very basic products and the look is comparable to similar items from other manufacturers costing $1000 to $4000 more than the $1100 and change we paid for the set. Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
