Great kids bedTaylorThis is a great kids bed. I like that it is convertible & will last for many years to come.5
BEST BED EVER!StaceyMy 2 year old who stopped wanting to sleep in her crib. We spent 3 weeks with her in our bed before I decided a big girl bed was needed. She LOVES THIS! We took her to ikea to pick out a big girl bed and she chose an ocean canopy to go along with her big girl bed . She loves the sea animals. She was afraid of her room for some reason and with her big girl bed and the canopy she now is back sleeping in her room happy as can be. Definitely worth the money and well made. Also very easy to assemble and sturdy. We absolutely love that IKEA has their beds out on display. This helped my daughter pick the bed that she felt comfortable on and a bed that she also found fun. She's adjusted well to her new bed and loves story time under her canopy. I would 100% recommend this bed for toddlers also it's very comfortable. I've spent a few nights on it ( when you're tired and you read and fall asleep with your toddler you will also be comfortable ! Lol )5
Love itKellyGreat bed. My toddler loves it. I can’t wait until we can loft it. I didn’t put the mattress slats on so that the mattress sits inside on floor and the slides keep him from rolling.5
Great bedJenniferReal wood, sturdy, able to loft if we want. Perfect for my elementary age kiddo and the bed tent works really well with it5
Top to bottomNecelGreat and sturdy. My daughter loves it. We ended up using a regular mattress not the foam type from IKEA as suggested so it’s thicker, but we installed a bed guard so it’s all good and she is 7 yo. She uses the bottom as play area and it’s all good until she grows out of it.5
DurableAmandaBed quality is nice, apparently I didn't think to check the height. I'm 5'7 and it's only to my chest in height. Imagined it to be taller. However durable and good quality.4
looks good and works good,Farhadlooks good and works good, just watch your head when you want to seat on it.5

Makes great bunk bedsAntonellaI bought the kura bed for my 6 year old and 4 year old as bunk beds (older on top). I added an extra set of mattress slats and the additional twin fit perfectly on the bottom. I love that it's very low to the ground for both kids and they love the bed tent too! I added the pouches to the bed which are perfect for tonies, water bottles and my daughter's glasses. This set went together easily, the instructions were very clear and I would have been able to put it together by myself, though I did have help!5
low bunk bed for toddlersCeilidhProduct looks like advertised, good value for a inexpensive bed. We have our four year old on the top and put a bed under( on the floor). It's perfect for youngins4
Twins love it!MeghanWe have bought 2 of these for our 5 year old twins. They love the raised version with the ocean bed tent. They use under their beds for reading and imaginative play. These beds are sturdy and low enough that we do not worry about them jumping off the ladders.5

Great bed a little wobblyBridgetGreat bed a little wobbly when she wants to snuggle but worth it for the price4
Great product!MichelePurchased Two beds for my granddaughters. Well constructed and great solution for a shared children’s bedroom.5
Perfect bed for kidsNicholeI bought two of the Kura beds for my kids, ages 7 and 9, and honestly couldn't be happier. They are sturdy, have a nice look that fits in a variety of decor, and it is nice that you have the option to configure the bed in different ways. As far as assembly, it was actually fairly easy. I did it myself, please note the instructions say to have 2 people build, and total build time for both beds was around 5 hours with some breaks in there. We currently have then set us as the loft style bed, but have the mattress underneath for sleeping and a mattress up top with canopy to make a hang out area for reading/ watching TV etc. It is nice that the beds will grow with my children and we won't have to replace them in a few years to something different, just redo the arrangement of mattress etc when they get bored or want a different style.5

A cozy nook for play and sleep

How can a children's bed be something more than a safe place to sleep? Can it even inspire play? This was how designers Tina Christensen and Kai Legaard were thinking when they started sketching a new children's bed. It resulted in KURA reversible bed which, for almost 15 years, has been used as a nook ― inspiring play for children around the world. One child is named Vera and lives in Älmhult, Sweden.

The most important things for a children's bed is that it's comfortable and safe. It's a plus if it can change as the child grows. But the goal for KURA was greater than that, explains designer Tina Christensen. "We really wanted it to fall in line with what children want ― that it could be a place to play and be used as the child's own nook."

Tents transform the bed

KURA was given a reversible construction and over the years we've developed various tents that can be fixed to the bed frame and which transform the bed into a house, a tree house or a radiant starry sky. KURA is also a constant source of stimulation for children's imaginations and creativity ― families create their own solutions by using colours and decorations. This is something that Tina likes. "Sometimes I search online for pictures of KURA and find the most fantastic solutions", says Tina. "It's exciting that it continues to develop."

Right height for being tucked into bed

Vera, who lives in Älmhult, Sweden, has a room which is quite small and narrow, so her parents chose KURA to maximize the room's space. At first, Vera slept on the bottom, but when she turned six, the family turned the bed over to transform it into a loft bed with secure edges and a play area underneath. KURA is lower than a common bunk bed. This makes it a little safer for a 6-year-old and all parents can reach up to say good night. When it's time for Vera to be tucked in, her mother or father usually crawl up next to her for story time. "Then we each have a torch that we turn on and read. It's really cozy", Vera says smiling.
