KivikDorothyI like the futon..the cover is rough and poorly sewn. The height of the chaise/ futon cough have been a little higher.4
Perfect for teenager"s roommikeThe blue is a nice dark shade and it was easy to put together. It is perfect for our teenage son's room--not too big, but a good size for lounging. Very comfortable and looks great.5
CuteJILLPretty good ikea quality, looks nice in my new reading nook. I like that you can add on additional pieces at another time if I wanted to move into a different space/expand into a couch.4
Exactly what I was looking for at a great priceALYSSAHave been looking for a chaise lounger for my bedroom for a while and saw this at IKEA! Can’t beat the price, and it easy to assemble (extra parts in case you are attaching it to the sofa were a little confusing at first)and fits exactly what I wanted. Brand new the cushions are firm, yet comfortable, though I suspect they will soften over time with use. It wasn’t available for delivery for a while, but once it finally was- it came in like 1-2 days! The chair covers are removable and Velcro on in place. Overall, very happy with this!!5
Long chaise KivikYESICAIt was the perfect for small spaces5
This furniture is just whatEILEENThis furniture is just what I thought it would be, hopefully lives up to my expectations, and looks good too5
Excellent loungeXenobis69we have 2 in front of the TV. Once your on it its hard to get off. We love them. It's like 2nd bed5
Great for the price!PhiaPhiaI bought 2 and placed them side by side and threw on some movie themed throw pillows (from another site) to make one big lounge. I'm making that space into a movie/tv room. I would have paid more from other companies to achieve the same look. Thinking of ordering maybe 1 more for that room & 2 in a different color for the guest room to create a daybed look. I would like to upload pics but I don't see an option.5
Yikesjb45First off, I am a firm believer in IKEA and the vast majority of their stuff. I love the DIY style for a good price and a lot of interesting styles. This has been a huge disappointment. We had the chaise part of the two seat couch for only a few months and it's always permanently wrinkled, there's not enough cushioning, and regardless of the velcro bottom, the back pillow always slides behind the chaise cushion and we have the push the seat cushion back into the couch weekly.1
For the price, it"s great.TheCatWranglerI bought the KIVIK Chaise 7 days ago. I found it in the As Is section of my local IKEA for $169.00. It had been a showroom display model. I tried it out in the store before I bought it to make sure it wasn't packed down and hard from all the store use. It was mighty comfy. I must say, I was surprised at this. I'd contemplated buying one on a previous visit to IKEA because it was comfy and the price was right (at the regular price of $250). However, instead of buying it on the spot, I waited. I wanted to read the reviews and compare it to the other chaises on my shortlist.Ultimately, I decided not to purchase a KVIK Chaise because of the reviews about how quickly the cushions packed down and became uncomfortable. But then, I stumbled across the KVIK in the “As Is” section for $169 last week, and I jumped on the deal. For the price, it’s worth it to me. Having used it for a week, I can see what the other reviewers are saying: the seat does not spring back after use and if you test the pressure around the edges vs. the center, there’s clearly a difference. But, it’s not much nor is it getting less comfortable (yet). Since it was a showroom model, the fact that the cushions still maintain a lot of integrity, says a lot about the piece. Furniture is so expensive - across the board - that if I even get one year out of this chaise, it’s worth the investment to me. You get what you pay for. You know going in that IKEA furniture isn’t high-end. However, when I compare the KIVK to all the other low-end chaises I’ve looked at (and I’ve looked at a lot in my 2-yr search for a chaise), the KIVK is miles above in terms of comfort and form and practicality. Bottom Line: In it’s price point category: it’s a great buy.4
Sags with minimal usejfrzrI have this chaise as part of the KIVIK sofa. The sofa is fine, but the chaise started sagging in the middle within a month of use. I've had it for 8 months now, and it's so bad it's starting to hurt my back. It feels like you're sitting in a hole.1
Kind of disappointedCBB337It was good for 3 months but both cushions seem to be getting weak and compressed unlike my KIVIK loveseat. Kind of disappointed.1
My daughter loves it!ShasieThis was a Christmas present for my 16 year old daughter. It fits in her room perfectly and is comfortable and spacious without overpowering her room. She likes to do homework on it or just relax. She's already said she wants to bring it with het to her first apartment. The light gray brightens her room and seems like it will wear well.5
Dani43We love this part of the sofa. Especially the kids5
Great pieceangUT19I bought this for my first apartment and have no complaints (other than that the box it was packaged in was HUGE and couldn't fit in a quite roomy car; the loveseat fit but the chaise did not). I disagree with the other review. There is nothing wrong with the cushions; they are soft but have great support! Looks great in my living room.5
Disappointed at low quality of the cushionsEdwinKThe quality of the cushions used for chaise is not the same as the reset of the Kivik sofas. The Kivik sofa has nice supportive foam cushions for the back and seat but the cushions for the chaise are made of much inferior quality. When you sit on the sofa the cushions have good firm support but when you sit on the chaise you sink in. After only 3 months of light use the chaise bottom cushion has a circular indentation in the seat area and the back cushion has flattened.1
