Great Fixture for small spaces!WildBill35We got this light for a small space above a window. Fits perfectly in the space and adds character to the area.5
DreadkiailiMy laundry room light stopped working and needed replacing. This was a perfect fixture for the space and works perfectly.5
guillo2This lamp looks just like the picture (pretty good), and the materials don't look cheap. Warnings: #1 - the glass is open on top - expect a bug cemetery there #2 - you need small bulbs - the 400lumen ones ikea is selling don't actually fit (TOSTHULT bulbs)5
Olga loveit's just an excellent lamp !!!5
Great Design, but...Jenny SzI love the design, and the fact that it's glass and not plastic. The biggest problem with this light fixture is it is super low rated for wattage. The bulbs IKEA recommends just arn't bright enough to use this as your sole source of light in a kitchen or bedroom...especially a kitchen. You end up with a moderately lower light situation. Even if you go out and buy higher wattage bulbs thinking you'll boost the out put the rating on the fixture is so low you won't be able to even install an LED bulb at a higher lumen output. I even called IKEA and asked them what I could do and they just default to saying they can only recommend a certain type of IKEA bulb...which even with three bulbs in the light fixture isn't bright enough if you need high light. If you up the wattage beyond the recommended it's on you if you burn down your house. I would urge IKEA to have their electrical engineers reexamine what the actual max wattage rating for this fixture is...surely you can design it to allow for better wattage.3
LoveGTw3Easy install and looks great in our kitchen5
Sleek lamp, easy to installKristinaARVery close to what I wanted from West Elm and Lowe’s at half the price! Easy for my husband to install and looks very sleek.4
Love the design!Kim2001I love this lamp. Very retro! It fits my decor perfectly.5
Love it...CheeksdI bought this ceiling light for my front door entrance and I love it.5
Nice Fixture, Pain to install...but worth itAndieNATI would have given 5 stars but the installation was a pain. The wire was easy part. Go to Osh or Home Depot and get shorter screws that attached the fixture. I got 3/4 and 1/2...I can't remember which one fit but once I did that, it was perfect! The screws that come in the box don't make the fixture flush with the ceiling. I'd definitely get another one now that I know what to do.3
Great value and lookManhattaniteI installed this light in my bedroom. I couldn't be happier: it is totally unobtrusive, clean, and modern. The three light bulbs provide ample light for a large bedroom. Installing the lamp was a little difficult and I would recommend having someone assist you because it is a little tricky. The one tip I can give is: there are two long screws each held by a nut in the metal cap that goes flush against the ceiling. Onto these two you will screw the two metal caps that you can see on the picture and which hold the cap tight against the ceiling. These two screws must stick out sufficiently so that you can screw the little caps. I made the mistake of making the long screws stick out too far which meant the little screw caps would not go in all the way to secure the big round cap that goes flush against the ceiling. This is hard to explain but you will know what I am talking about when you install your fixture.4
KsatGreat light for the price4
Great Light FixtureHappy Lighted BathroomIn my bathroom the only lighting fixture was on the ceiling. I replaced the old fixture, but it was only a 2 lamp holder ( LED Lamps = to a 60watt ) Not enough light ( LED's Lamps changed to = a 75 watt ) LED's were to big. I was looking for a 3 lamp fixture and saw this fixture and purchase it. The good things 1. it takes 3 LED's lamps ( 60 watt ) and gives a very good lighting out put. 2. It hangs down from the ceiling so that light can bounce back off of the ceiling helping to get a more even lighting. The down side was. 1. The mounting plate ring didn't fit the elect. outlet box. 2. The two holes in the ceiling fixture top cover did line up with the elect. box screw holes. So I was able to run 2 ea. 8/32 screws up from the top cover into elect. box mounting screw holes. 3. When putting on the frosted glass globe it would be easier to have someone help you or if you bigger hands would be better. My end review is : I'm very happy that I got this lighting fixture. With the 3 LED's lamps ( dimmable LED's ) My bathroom is now nice and bright4

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
