Works greatMatthewThis worked great, just don't overfill it. If you put too much in it comes out the top some, not a big deal at all. Fill about 3/4 and enjoy.5

Nifty little gadget!FayBought this to squeeze extra juice out of cooked fruits that have seeds (like berries, grapes, etc.) Blackberry seeds can occasionally squeeze through the holes, but overall, it worked well.5

Broke on day 1Verified BuyerLooked solid and price was not high so I bought it. First time using it, the flat metal piece going to the plunger bent in two places making the tool useless. I've thought about bending it back and welding on some sturdy support, then I realized, that's just crazy! So after some research I am buying a different potato ricer and avoiding the metal ones with the same weak point. I wish it worked well because I like the look of this one.1
I looked this toolVerified BuyerSo much easier than putting together and plugging in a mixer! It makes the potatoes evenly and I love it!! Its also good at squeezing fruit for juices as well!5
Changed my Mashed Potato Game ForeverVerified BuyerEvery once in a while, I'll come across a product that's so fab I can't help but evangelize about it. Last time, it was Diva Cup. This time, it's a potato ricer, aka a potato smasher. Up till now, I've sworn off uni-taskers and made do with the bottom of a glass and wooden spoon. Well, thanks to Alex French Guy Cooking, I broke down and grabbed one last time I was at Ikea for $9. Alton Brown forgive me, but I REPENT refusing to try this uni-tasker sooner. Thanks to allergies, I can't use real milk and butter, but just using Yukon gold potatoes, salt and pepper, and a bit of the boil-water I reserved in place of milk, I made what are probably the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten. Just remember to wash it before the remaining potato bits dry.5
SharonI use the potato press to squeeze out excess water from vegetables. Being a senior citizen I do not have the strength in my hands to do a good job. The potato press is the best instrument to do the job.5
Best Mashed PotatoesEstherBeen wanting a ricer and this was perfect! Made the creamiest mashed potatoes with ease but make sure your potatoes are boiled fully and soft to the touch.5

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.
