Beautiful but obtrusiveSharyl B.Beautiful HUGE medicine cabinet. Seriously. It’s huge. It sticks out 6” from the wall so it totally overwhelmed our faucet. The remedy would be to raise it up on the wall but when you do that you can barely see yourself in the mirror. I’m a 5’7” woman. So the photos that show this cabinet hanging 10” or more above the sink are not realistic. We are planning on pulling our vanity out 4” and placing a decorative cedar beam as a ledge behind. Hope it looks good. Otherwise we need to cut open the wall and recess it. But it is beautiful and will hold a ton of stuff.4
LifesaverEllenI am thrilled with the look and function of our medicine cabinets. It is so nice to have my vitamins and hair products accessible at that height. I hardly use my vanity drawers now. All I had to do was flip my vanity lights up and I had the perfect amount of space to install the medicine cabinets. I liked how I could decide which way to hinge the doors. Buy these!5

It is one heck of a cabinetTammyI love how spacious it is. It looks so nice in my beach condo!5
Great quality products, modern andMARIAGreat quality products, modern and useful.5
Wish it came in smaller lengthAlexandraI really loved this item but I had to return it. It was way to long for my small bathroom. Wish this item came in a slightly smaller verison because the open shelf is such a benefit.1
Hemnes Medicine cabinetAMYAlthough I like the style and function of this cabinet, we did have to change our plans for its use. Because of the fact that it hangs on the wall and has a decent depth for shelves, it could not be used with a typical vanity light that hangs above a medicine cabinet. It needs scones on either side for lighting. Since we did not have the room for scones, we are using it as an over the toilet storage cabinet instead.5
Hemnes vanity cabinet works well in the bathroomMICHAELI installed two Hemnes side-by-side in a bathroom that had no medicine cabinet. I now have lots of storage space and a wall of mirrors. This product is easy to assemble and looks handsome in my bathroom.5
Fits hemnes look and has plenty of roomElizabeth20It’s heavy make sure you get help installing it. Looks great lots of space5
Love it!LisaBSBought this to match the vanity I also purchased. Love them both5
Very nice (using as over toilet storage)GSboroThis is well made and easy to assemble, but we are using it as over toilet storage and toilet paper rolls are too large to fit. An extra 1/2 inch in depth and more people would use this for different use cases.4
ReturnableI bought this and it had no instruction in the box. Little to complicated to put together with no instructions. Will be returning the cabinet.3
Fit my needswavygravyI bought this to have extra storage for my wife in the master bath. Iworks and looks great. I would have given it 5 stars if it were just a little deeper to store some larger article.4
It looked nice on the website!HoustonRKThis is now the 3rd time I have bought it and when I open the box, the mirror is CRACKED. Not a little corner crack but a shatter across the whole mirror. Do they have Hulk back there throwing them around for fun?2
hemnes white bathroom cabinet w mirrorhorse momthis cabinet is very substantial and large and beautiful. it is hard to visualize in your space from viewing the size hanging in the store. i love that it’s big and that it stores a lot of bathroom necessities but i wished i had gotten help hanging it. assembly is easy, hanging it was extremely difficult because it is so heavy, has to be hung very high up on the wall and it doesn’t line up with 2 wall studs(at the standard 16” width)so it was very challenging. i would say to make sure you draw the dimensions on your wall space before purchase and have help.5
Nice MirrorsuperpammyThis mirror is large and very functional. The extra space underneath provides good room for easy to reach items. The only drawback is that you have to be taller to see yourself on the mirror. We had to bring it lower (10 above sink rather than 12) so that our 5'2 daughter could see herself on the mirror.4
Attractive storage!Pat SheepThis is so attractive and functional! Love the glass shelves and are easy to clean and adjust.5
Perfect for bathroomWem8We downsized to a ‘cottage ‘ (condo) and needed storage (lots) in the bathroom I purchased this as well as the largest double door in the same product line Really like them both and the nice clean look they provide.5
BaysaaGreat edition to our small bathroom.5
Good ConstructionFootiePeteGood quality product. Door hinges for either side. Not flimsy as others we have found. Pretty heavy - good for construction but make sure you use good mounting screws / anchors. Looks lovely installed.5
Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
Forests are critical for life on earth
Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.
100% wood from more sustainable sources
At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030
As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.
We accomplish more by working together
For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.
What is mirror glass?
Mirror glass is made of mostly of ordinary glass with a reflective coating in some kind of metal. In the past it was common for the coating to contain lead or mercury – but over time, both of these metals have been shown to be harmful to people and the environment. That’s why, as of several years ago, IKEA has a total ban on using lead or mercury in our mirrors and instead it is non-toxic silver or aluminium that reflects your mirror image.
