Bulb died early and not replaceableronnie48I bought this a few years ago and liked the look until the bulb burned out. It cannot be replaced. I thought originally it was advertised as lasting 20,000 hours. It probably made it less than half that period. It does not seem reasonable or ecological to replace whole thing every few years.2
hard to install and doesn"t provide much light?elkelkelkI purchased this to go w/ the 39 GODMORGON mirrored cabinet. The light fixture sits on top of the cabinet, but it attaches in a very strange way with these clip-on plastic pieces, which are supposed to be screwed into the top of the cabinet. However, no wood screws are provided, so you can't attach unless you happen to already have some on hand. So we found this out AFTER we were already assembling, and the light fell off the cabinet and became damaged. User error, maybe...but seriously, IKEA, why don't you just include the wood screws so this isn't an issue. Also the lightbulb only produces the same output as a 60W bulb, so it's not that great for giving light. I think I might return and buy a different light fixture from a home improvement store (NOT IKEA).2
