Product details

A table with generous proportions that has room for family and friends, both for everyday use and celebrating something special.

The hole in the middle of the table top keeps your umbrella in place.

The legs can easily be folded in to make the table easier to store.

To make the chair with armrest as comfortable as possible for you, we designed it with generous proportions for both the seat and the armrests so they provide good support.

The chair can be stacked to save space.

The seat has a small edge at the back to keep a chair cushion in place.

Made of high-quality, sustainably sourced eucalyptus.

Eucalyptus is a durable, hard wood type suitable for outdoor use since it is compact and has a naturally high oil content that helps protect against weather and wind, drying out and mold.

The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary, and re-staining it on a regular basis.

Clean: Use a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth.

Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking, and moisture from penetrating into the wood, we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

  • This chair has been tested for home use and meets the requirements for durability and safety, set forth in the following standards: EN 581.

Great valueJoeVery good quality for the price and easier to assemble than most other Ikea furniture5
Great for the patio!ANN U.This is a very nice set. The chairs are comfortable and well made. The table is attractive. The only drawback is that because of the way it’s made, chairs cannot be placed at either end. So you have 3 chairs on each side; it can be kind of cozy. But we’re are still happy with the purchase. We bought the Taskrabbit assembly option so I can’t comment on the assembly process, except that it took the guy much longer than IKEA projected.5
Best value anywhere!Becky21I looked a long time for these table and chairs and they are perfect! The color the look the price is every thing I was looking for I’m really pleased with this purchase. The reason for the 3 star is after 2 days being outside I noticed a 5 inch crack on the wood at one end of the table. I was very disappointed and in the middle of a pandemic what do I do? Other than the ugly crack I love these table and chairs and am very happy.3
Almost ExcellentBklynBrawlerUpgraded my backyard with this set. Gives that feeling of elegance. My only problem which is disappointing that table has like open grooves (small cracks) probably due to out in the sun or constant rain in south Florida? This wouldn't have happen if I would have purchase a cover to preserve or maybe had more knowledge on how to preserve wood or waterproof it? For the price I paid it should have been pretreated to last longer. everything else is emacculant. I would recommend having it covered or treated upon purchase. It is definitely beautiful in my backyard.4
Super Studykirby17117I bought this set sight unseen. Stores were closed so I ordered for delivery without actually seeing it but based on previous knowledge of IKEA furniture. This showed up better than expected. It's super study, well made, easy to put together and looks great! I absolutely love it! I also love how long it is! It's perfect for 6!5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Frilandsmuseet is an open-air museum in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen. Here Tina and Kai take regularly strolls to see how the average Scandinavian lived before there were Internet and mobile phones. “The museum is a treasure. There are houses and furniture from times when everything was created from a need and had a purpose. It’s very inspiring,” says Tina.

Timeless

In the old days, people had the same need as we do today; to work, relax and come together. BONDHOLMEN has generous proportions that make it comfortable to do that for a long time. “We wanted to make it easy to spend time in BONDHOLMEN. Eat, play games, reply to emails, have a cold drink or just talk. Whatever you want to do when you’re in your outdoor space.”

Function is in the details

Tina mentions that past generations had a particularly good eye for function; every detail was there for a reason. “People were also very careful with the materials they had and didn’t use more than they needed. Back then, it was called common sense. Today it is a way of being sustainable.” In the BONDHOLMEN series the legs are angled for steadiness, the seats have a small edge in the back to keep cushions in place and the furniture are easy to put away when the outdoor season ends. Every piece of furniture is made of sustainably sourced and high-quality eucalyptus wood. It’s details that make the modern outdoor life a little easier and more sustainable. For Tina and Kai it’s also a tribute to old handicraft and common sense.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.
