Worth every pennyMaxwell B.I’ve had this bed for over a year now and I absolutely love it. It adds so much character to my bedroom and makes it feel so cozy. The quality is top-notch and it’s just so unique!5
Was great for a year, then the wood splinteredshannon h.Bought the frame a year and a half ago and loved it until one day when I laid into bed and the headboard cracked along one of the seams. Tried to fix it with wood glue but it wouldn't hold and now I have a $500 bed frame that I can't lean up against... Really would've liked to have gotten at least a few years out of this frame.1
love itJessythis bed is perfect for the look and feel. very sturdy. Build: the head board seems to have some space to the side rails when attached but its screws tightly. there's 3 mattress heights based on the thickness of your bed. First I went with the lowest but realized it wasn't comfortable when getting off/on the bed. the middle height was the best for me.3
ExcellentjThis is perfect. It’s attractive but unobtrusive. It’s made of real wood but not so heavy that you can’t move it. You can vary the height of the base. You could use it with or without the pillows. We use it with.5
We love this bed frameDeboraVery elegant and strong.5
Simple and attractive.SabrinaThis minimal but comfortable bed fits with so many design styles. Comfortable and sturdy, this one’s a winner!5
Worth the waitPATRISEDue to COVID-19, the employee deficit has been great. We checked the app for availability regularly, to no avail. Then, one happy day, there were 6 in the store and our our order for delivery processed. We weren’t directed to click and collect or pickup. Yay! After two years, we assembled this beautiful and solid bed. It was worth the wait.5
WONDERFULEmmaI absolutely love this bedframe. Very sturdy and just a really pretty design and aesthetic. I love the birch wood. Looks beautiful in my room.5
Love this product, I hadLeslieLove this product, I had once small glitch with the assembly of my purchase with the instructions, but you can google it and get the advise from customers with the same issue.5
Bjorksnas bedBelindaLove it!!! I want to make sure the next bed I bought was the right one. Look at many beds and keep coming back to this one. So I know this was the one to get. Easy to put together and yes I would buy it again.5
Exceeds ExpectationsDANAEIkea has upped their game. This bed and set for that matter is so sturdy by far worth every penny!5
Beautiful and sturdyElisaThis is my dream bed! It’s so sturdy and beautiful- a timeless classic that brings so much relaxation and simple elegance to our master bedroom. My only complaint was that one of the hardware pieces was unusable (we even went to Ace to trim it and it still didn’t help), and we couldn’t find any suitable replacement found in the US sizing. We just had to put it in a “least affected” spot and call it good. It would be great if they could include a few extra pieces, in case this would happen :) A minor detail, but the pillows had some pokey flax “splinters” that I pulled out with tweezers right away, and now they’re super comfy. Overall, I’m so happy with this purchase!5

Bought this bed for myBeatriz A.Bought this bed for my basement and it’s perfect. It’s beautiful and very solid. It’s easy to put together and the back pillows look great. It’s low but not too low that you feel your on the floor. It’s perfect. Love everything about it!!!5
Beautiful BedKarenDifficult to put together, but it looks great.5
love it!Melissathis bedframe looks beautiful in our bedroom. easy to put together and i thought the price was fair. i get asked all the time where we got it from.5
Great bed!SHIQUANAGreat bed! Very sturdy, nicely made, beautiful wood, would buy again!5
Great bed!ScottGreat bed!5
Love at first nap!!CAITLINI was thrilled with the quality of the bed. This frame is solid and beautiful! The only issue is that even on the lowest setting our mattress sits really high and kind of blocks the lower half of the headboard. We also can’t use our box spring anymore as we would be sleeping above the top of the headboard.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful, renewable and recyclable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood. This way, every tree is put to good use that little extra.
