Total NightmareChristopher A.I would give it 0 stars if possible. Seems like you’re playing the lottery on the quality of the items you’ll receive. Unit does not look seamless whatsoever and doors will not line up no matter what. This product should not be advertised this way.1
It’s worth and looks soLindaIt’s worth and looks so nice in our house5
Not perfect, but cuteHannahOverall, I like my BESTA. It’s cute and simple, but not boring. My two biggest complaints are the doors not lining up perfectly (a common ikea problem I’ve heard from other people), and the wood veneer pattern not matching up like it does in the photo. We’ve tried multiple things to fix the doors but they just don’t want to be straight. Not a huge thing you notice unless you’re really examining the console, as the 2/3 doors with the problem only have a subtle dip, but for the price and careful assembly skills we used, I’d expect better.
As for the door patterns, the picture they use for the product shows 3 identical doors, but the doors in real life are all different. They’re generally the same tone (although if you stare at them I do think one is slightly cooler toned, not a huge deal) but the faux grain is VERY different on all of them and looks nothing like the consistent herringbone pattern shown. Still a very pretty pattern and not a dealbreaker for us, but definitely misleading from what you think you’re getting.3
Looks very nice, very happyLAUREENLooks very nice, very happy with purchase!5
Good valueJUDITHNice for the price, and assembly wasn’t complicated.3
Besta TV stand/ shelfRubenThis product is made very cheap. Very poor design and is not worth the price. I am very disappointed in this product. I would strongly recommend you NOT purchase this whatsoever!2
2 separate pieces, not like picturedJason L.The picture for the 3 cabinet piece makes it appear like one solid unit. In reality, there’s a 2 door unit that you screw together with a 1 door unit leaving a not-uniform appearance and line that clearly shows it’s 2 units….how could ikea show a different unit than what we have to build? If I knew it looked like this, I wouldn’t have bought it.
It’s also the most convoluted assembly I’ve ever had with an ikea product since everything is modular.
Finally, my 2 door piece came with a ding in the front where I can’t hide it.
Find a different piece if you want a bigger storage console.1
End result wonky and displeasingBARBARA W.First, I did not know this is not one solid cabinet but two components that must be attached with screws (which were missing). Then the drawers are not evenly set no matter what we do and do not open with a touch push as described. Also, one door front won’t open as hardware not working correctly and the other door is crooked and difficult to close. An absolute mess even after great care was taken to assemble. Plus directions are extremely difficult to follow and do not show how each part joins to make a complete buffet unit. I am so disappointed and do not know what to do now. And can’t disassemble to troubleshoot as certain pieces seem to not allow that. So do I keep (wood looks nice and matches my table) or do I haul in my SUV and return this problematic item? I tried calling Task Rabbit but after being on hold 30 minutes I hung up.1

Best BestaJimGreat style & significant storage!5
serves its purposeLisa K.it is totally fine, and serves its purpose. overall a decent value. although my item was damaged (through the box despite no indication on outside). i had trouble with the mystery parts & pieces. there's still a portion of the directions that make no sense in theory or practice. and there is a disconnect from description to purchase/assembly. this was actually a 2 + a 1 for the base, which is odd and offered no points of connection beyond the feet and some double stick foam tape. it is fine, but i don't have high hopes for its durability.4
Nice AdditionNijaThis is a nice addition to my living room.5
Excellence in its simplicity!Ileanapartyof5I love it! It makes my living room look so elegant. It was so easy to build thanks to Ikea's easy to follow instructions.5
This is not a single piece 3 cabinet unitdubb17I bought this unit today and returned it later in the same day. The actual product is a two door cabinet unit and a separate one door cabinet unit. This is not a three door unit held together by a 71 piece of solid wood. The first photo is horribly misleading as it depicts a three cabinet item that appears to be a single unit. This is not true. The top shown on the first photo is actually covered by a 71 piece of glass with a white backing to hide the partition between the double and single door units. Thus giving the illusion that this is a single piece three door cabinet unit. This piece of glass is available as an optional extra for $35 that is NOT INCLUDED in this product. I learnt of this additional glass panel when returning the item to the store. The manager of the store informed me that I should have known that this piece of glass was not included as it was not listed in the product even though there is no way to even know that the first photo depicts any glass panel nor is this glass panel mentioned anywhere in the description of the actual item. It's irritating to be told that you should have known that a certain item was not included in the product when you didn't even know that specific item even existed, nor were you informed before you purchased the item.1
Misleading photowantedthistoworkI purchased this believing the photo that this was a single piece of material across the top that is 70 long. It turns out that it is actually 2 cabinets and each cabinet has its own top so it is not a seamless surface. additionally despite buying the combination SKU, it didn't come with instructions on how to join the two cabinets nor the hardware to connect them.1
Love itDamariscastro31Love it! Elegant and very useful5

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
Forests are critical for life on earth
Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.
100% wood from more sustainable sources
At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030
As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.
We accomplish more by working together
For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.
What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
