Sit to stand with aEvelynSit to stand with a push of a button. Love it😊5
Great Desk Add-onTheNormI was in the market for a new computer desk and came across this with the raise and lower function. I hadn't checked the reviews on it, but knew that I could really benefit from something like this myself as I spend a decent amount of time in-front of a computer screen and could use a standing break while working half the time. I love that you can choose if you want a corner/L-desk or a standard rectangle desk that this works with. Assembly was a breeze and the unit felt sold as a rock. The cables are well concealed in the mesh area underneath. They really have thought of everything on this desk. It is pretty quiet while it goes up and down as well.5
wide range of heightsorganic1The table and base were easy to assemble and work well. I am pleased with the wide range of heights-- I can sit on an exercise ball, chair or stand. (I am short so tall people should verify that this part works for you). It might work for a growing responsible child. While you can lock the height, there are weight limits to what you can put on the table. I would love to see the series include a keyboard tray and monitor holders to make the set-up more ergometric for a desktop computer. While universal ones are availble, they tend to work better when designed especially for the setup.4
jackie001bought this but power adapter is not very reliability, but can be replaced by Ikea if you take old part and evidence of purchase.4
Excellent stand up sit down deskChris H in ColoradoPurshased 3 for our personal office and they were easy to assemble. We really like the flexibility to either stand or sit while at our computers or standing up at a higher work table for scrapbooking.5
Really enjoying my table!GMooreThe table was easy to put together and the mechanical operation is smooth. Thanks for making a great product.5
SombanuI bought a month ago so far so good. Really helps with the adjustments4
Good value!AlanSrAfter evaluating several sit/stand options, we discovered this unit and are very happy with it. My only concern is how to hide all the wires to my computer and accessories. My plan is to mount the surge suppressor under the table top so only I wire is exposed.5
Overall happy with my purchaseJeffroOverall happy with my purchase. The desk was easy to put together and fits exactly where I needed it too. Concern I have is when I raise the desk it only go so far and then it stops and then starts to lower again all on its own even though I’m still pushing the up arrow. So I have to then stop wait a second and then press the up arrow again. I haven’t taken the time to figure out if that’s a safety feature or if there something wrong with the motor. Otherwise the desk is great. I think the price is a little bit high as well so I think it’s a pretty big investment considering you don’t get any drawers with the desk. My opinion is that it shouldn’t cost as much as it does.4
Stopped working in a dayMaddy0731Spend time in picking and assembling, stopped working in a day, and again dis-assemble and rerun. In the whole process lost more than two half days . It hard to justify purchase in IKEA, but if we r luck and no issu s then IKEA good choice. long waiting queue for returns is painful.1
Outstanding product, highly recommended!DCGourmetI was helping a friend research standing desks a few weeks ago, and noticed all the poor reviews on the IKEA site. Not to discount any of those reviews specifically or the experiences those reviewers had, but mine has worked flawlessly since I first installed it. I suspect the reason for the number negative reviews is that the only people who take the time to leave a comment here are the ones who had a bad experience. So I decided to take the time to leave a positive one. If you're in the market for a sit/stand desk, this is probably the one you want. I initially became interested in sit/stand desks when standesk.co launched as a kickstarter project a few years ago; there were other sit/stand desks on the market then, but theirs was one of the first to be priced well under $1000. I was about to sign up for one of theirs (about a year before they actually became available) when IKEA announced they were entering the market at the same price point - along with a 10-year warranty. I have no idea how standesk is going to do as a business and I wish them well - but I also have no idea if they'll be in business 10 years from now when a warranty might need to be pulled up. IKEA will be. The thing that frustrated me most about all of the negative reviews here about this desk - and the reason I've decided to leave an overwhelmingly positive one for it myself - is that every single negative review was of a product that is still covered by that IKEA 10-year warranty, and every single one of those I read was replied to promptly by an IKEA representative. This desk has worked flawlessly for me since I bought it, which is pretty much since it first became available at IKEA in my area. I don't know if my desk is actually going to last 10 years, and I don't care. I do believe IKEA is going to honor their warranty, and until I need to call them about it I'm not going to worry about it.5
My single piece of favorite funitureconamoreLove this height adjustable table. A game changer and life saver!!!! Only complaint so far is that it does not seem that sturdy when you lean on it.5

"When we designed the BEKANT series our goal was to make flexible desk combinations that encourage collaborations, meetings and creativity. The desks come in different sizes and shapes – you can use one alone or combine them to suit your needs. And they’re easy to add onto, or change, any time your needs do. To encourage a healthy work environment, most underframes have a sit and stand function that allows you to vary positions. Also, this series has been tested and approved for professional use, so it’s perfect in all types of offices."
