Fresh apple and elderflower cocktail
What you’ll need:
The juice of half a lime
1 lime wedge
1 oz IKEA DRYCK FLÄDER elderflower syrup
3 oz pure apple juice
1 Tbsp egg white
An apple slice
A sprig of mint
How to make it:
1. Run the lime wedge around the rim or of the glass, then dip the rim in the raw sugar to coat it.
2. Crush the ice in an ice crusher or put the ice cubes in a plastic bag and hammer away with a rolling pin. Fill the glass with the ice.
3. Shake lime juice, the elderflower syrup, apple cider, egg white, and gin if you’re using it, in a cocktail shaker with a few cubes of ice. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top and pour over the crushed ice.
4. Add a touch of tonic water and garnish with a thin apple slice and a sprig of mint.
Stock your freezer with ice, especially crushed.
Make sure your drinks are nice and chilled.
Keep your glasses nice and frosty by putting them in the freezer.
Slice limes and lemons in advance.
Keep apple slices fresh in ice water with lemon.
