Out of the restaurant and into the home
It just takes a flick through a few TV channels, or a glance at a social media feed to notice our appetite for cooking is growing. From an activity that once was a little hidden away, there's now a fully baked appreciation for making and enjoying food together as we become more inspired about what we cook and eat. It makes sense then, that as we improve our recipe game, we need the right equipment to help us master the ultimate burger or ramen soup. Which is where SENSUELL pots and pans come in.
Learning from the professionals
“We have a lot of people involved with SENSUELL who are passionate about cooking," says SENSUELL product developer Lennie Malmgren. "Before working at IKEA, I studied as a chef myself so this was an exciting project to work on." It stands to reason that if you want to make expert cookware you should speak with the pros first. Before getting started on the range, the SENSUELL team spent a year speaking with professional chefs to get their take on how the pots and pans should look, work and be constructed. Naturally, the demands were high. The range had to be functional, incredibly durable, and work extremely well with heat.
