DRÖMSK Bowl, stainless steel, 33 cm

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.

“The idea for the DRÖMSK series was to create products that have clear functionality and a nice look. The bowl is inspired by how I wanted to make a luxurious facet pattern with an added wood carving look – a little bling-bling with a touch of craftsmanship. The vases have a soft shape and design that makes both flower bouquets and lonely stems look good in them. I think of DRÖMSK like dear pieces of jewellery which you buy to enjoy for a long time, beautiful alone or together."
