Sustainability is at the heart of the IKEA business. At IKEA Tempe, we’re committed to creating a more sustainable future. Caring for your most prized possessions is something we all try our utmost to do, and here at IKEA Tempe, we’re no exception. Whether you want to breathe new life into unwanted items, or part ways with them for good, we’re here to help.

IKEA Tempe has launched a new furniture take back pilot, encouraging customers to recycle unwanted goods and help the local community*. If you don’t want your IKEA products any more, and they are still in good condition, consider bringing them back to IKEA Tempe. Allowing you to upcycle your unwanted goods instead of throwing them away and minimising the contribution to landfill. If your item(s) qualifies for this service, we will reward you by providing you with a voucher to be spent at IKEA Tempe.

Don’t have a car to bring your item back to store? No problem. We have also partnered with GoGet during this pilot period to offer our customers free* two hour access to a GoGet vehicle to return the product to IKEA.

And it doesn’t stop there. You can also learn how to breathe new life into old materials and learn new DIY skills through our free in-store workshops. Learn a new skill and move towards a more sustainable life.

*This service is available only at the IKEA Tempe store.

Contact us
(1) See product requirements. If you qualify for this service download and fill out the attached IKEA product submission form.
*Please fill out one form per product

(2) Save form under your full name and attach with 5 images of your IKEA product.

Receive a proposal from IKEA
A IKEA Co-worker will evaluate your product. We will endeavour to reply within 24 hours with an answer for whether your product has been approved for the takeback service and a valuation based on the current price.

Deliver the furniture to IKEA Tempe
If approved you can arrange to bring your product in within 14 days of receiving the confirmation email from IKEA.

Need help getting your product to the store? Make use of our free* GoGet for 2 hours.

Note: Product must be fully assembled when brought into the store.

Receive a store voucher
Your furniture will be verified against images submitted through original email. when finalised you will receive a IKEA voucher to the value indicated by IKEA.
