365 Day returns policy for IKEA
No-nonsense returns policy 365 days to change your mind
So you bought it and… it’s not quite what you’d had in mind? That’s alright! You have 365 days to return your purchase for a full refund, as long as the product is in unused and resalable condition.

It's important to us that you're happy with your IKEA purchase. If you're not totally satisfied, or simply just change your mind, you can return your products within 365 days. We will give you a full refund of the price of the goods that are returned with proof of purchase and, if possible, the packaging. We will refund you by the same method as your original payment for products. You can return any product, even if you assembled it, as long as it's in unused and re-saleable condition. If the returns criteria are not fully met, we may refuse the return or offer an exchange or gift card.

IKEA FAMILY and IKEA BUSINESS members have a lifetime
If you’re an IKEA FAMILY or IKEA BUSINESS member, and you swipe your member card at the time of your purchase, our standard 365-day returns policy is extended to the life of your membership. +Valid for purchases made after 1 September 2015.

Exchange your mattress or mattress pad once within 365 days of your original purchase if you don’t love it.
Upgrade to a new mattress and just pay the difference
If you purchase a mattress at a lower cost will we give you a gift card with the difference.
Bring it in-store or organise a pick-up
See our ‘Where to return?’ section above on ways to get your mattress or mattress pad back to us. A delivery fee is payable both for collection and return of your mattress if you would like it collected from your home or business.

Exchanges and refunds can be given where goods are faulty (other than any fault that was clearly communicated to you, or which ought to have been revealed by an examination of the product at the time of purchase), wrongly described, different from a sample shown to you, or does not perform the function. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This policy is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
