Seasonal recommendation

Winter can be freezing cold, but with some tips and ideas, you can keep the cold outside and have a warm and cozy home and maybe save some Yen on your next energy bill.

Warm bed linen

Add an extra layer of warmth to your bed with our VITGRÖE family. The thick, fluffy fleece fabric feels soft against the skin and stores heat from your body – keeping you from feeling chilly during cold evenings and nights.

Warm bedding

Being well-rested and having a good night of sleep, are the key to a healthy life. If you combine warm sheets, quilts, quilt covers, and mattress protectors you can adjust the level of warmth you need. Adding layers helps to temperate during the night – if you feel too warm you can just take one layer away and add it again when you feel cold. Fleece and Flannel are the best materials to keep you warm. The fluffy structure keeps air trapped under your blanket and works as insulations.

Blankets

Rugs & Slippers

Cold floor and cold feet are one of the worst feelings in winter. To keep the warmth inside your house, we recommend using a thick high pile rug. Not only in the living room but in other rooms the rugs can help to keep the heat in and the cold out. They are also okay to use with underfloor heating.  If you have a hard time stepping outside your bed in the morning, we recommend to use slippers and a small rug in front of your bed, so you don’t have to step on the freezing floor.

Curtains & Blinds

To minimize the cold air coming in from outside, take a closer look at your windows. Sometimes you can feel the cold air coming in from outside as a draft. To minimize that effect, there are some small tips that can help you.  Adding curtain and blinds. Most houses have pre-installed curtain rails, so you can easily swap your light curtains to a thicker and heavier fabric like velvet. In combination with blinds, you can not only keep the cold outside but also sleep well at night, with no light coming in from outside.
