Good product but bad packagingThomasThis product is good in terms of quality and price. But Ikea really needs to learn how to pack stuff. I ordered the first pack which was supposed to have 6 glasses but 3 were broken completely when delivered. Ikea was kind enough to replace the entire product. Unfortunately the replacement product also had 3 glasses completely broken on delivery. Apart from the packaging which stabds out like a sore thumb, everything else is really good. Customer service is also quick to respond to your concerns.5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
