Steps for Safer Shopping at the Store
Some of the safety measures for customers include contactless temperature checks and mandatory face masks. The store shopping bags and trolleys are regularly sanitised as per local norms. There will be contactless hand sanitiser machines, indicators on the floor for social distancing, and physical barriers for extra safety during shopping. There will also be queue management for line-ups, and separation screens around sales points, cash registers, customer service points, and more. Along with this, other safety checks like face shields, masks, and gloves for all consumer-facing co-workers are in place. Any third-party personnel who enter our units are subject to the same strict safety protocols.
Social distance shopping
To ensure a safe shopping experience, we ask that if you can, please shop alone. Only bring one other person from the same household if you need special assistance or if you need to bring your children with you.
There will be a queuing system outside to manage entry into the store. Please bear in mind that due to the implementation of additional safety measures, queuing times will be a little longer. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
We will have co-workers and signage throughout the store to help you stick to social distancing guidelines.
Extra cleaning and safety precautions
As you might expect, we'll be doing extra scrubbing, cleaning, and sterilising to make the whole store as safe as possible for you.
Hand sanitisers will be stationed throughout the store, as will new protective screens at key points such as checkouts.
We recommend you come prepared with ready-made lists and your own bags.
Cashless payments are safer.
To reduce the amount of contact between you and our co-workers, we advise you to avoid cash payment and pay using your cards instead.
We have also installed protective screens at key points across the store including checkouts to provide extra protection.
Our restaurant is open and IKEA Café will be open for takeaways.
For your safety, our Småland crèche and other indoor and outdoor play areas will remain closed for now.
