Cut outside noise with a curtain

You can use a throw as a sound-absorbing curtain. Just put two hooks into your wall and hang up the throw with two curtain rings on clips. If you want to let light in but keep your privacy, put two more hooks lower down, fasten a cord between them and fold the throw over it.

Absorb floor sounds with rugs

Minimise the echoing noise of bare floors (and downstairs neighbours) with layers of rugs. Go for a mix of textures and your favourite styles for a cosy feel. Add a couple of unique handmade rugs for a one-of-a-kind floor!

Reduce the noise coming through your wall by hanging a rug from a curtain rail. It will add a cosy, decorative touch, too. You can use more rugs to cover the whole wall and cut the noise down even more.
