By letting bamboo, that otherwise would be discarded, enhance the expression of KÅSEBERGA lampshade, we can harness the plant more than twice as much.

Each lampshade is unique since it is made of bamboo with natural colour variations and is hand-woven by skilled craftspeople.

The light shines through the bamboo and creates spectacular effects on the wall.

Create your own personalised lamp by combining the lampshade with your choice of cord set or floor lamp base.

Can be used for both pendant and floor lamps if you complete with a cord set or floor lamp base of your choice.

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
